General RotJ SE - Finishing Touches

DentedGent

Hunter
Hey all!
We've come a long way since July!

Finally got some decent shots to see how it all falls and fits into place.
All in all, I'm pretty happy.
My biggest gripe is the jet pack harness as BM's never fit me correctly and I made major alterations to make it fit. Still, the pack always tends to droop with how the straps are set up. A scuba rig is most likely my next purchase.
Suggestions and comments more than welcome. I'm looking to get this ready to go.

Final purchases pending/in progress:
- servo and RF light kit from salamanderking
- scuba rig and accurate buckle (idk who)
- electronics for flamethrower and gauntlet light from crumdum
- metal darts, collar pegs, and gauntlet rocket (machinecraft)
- jet pack "smoke" apparatus (idk yet)

Looking really good compared to where you were bro. Congrats.
Weather that girth belt up.
Full metal fett can get you jetpack hooks, clips and a divers buckle.
You can make a hard harness pretty easily yourself, or go with Bigdane's next run or 3d printed from toolguy on Shapeways.

For the harness Cyberpyrot posted some really good info on how to make your own out of metal if you feel like building it. If you're looking to buy it you can't go wrong with a Bigdane harness with jetpack hooks from Full metal fett. Toolguy also has a 3d printed harness that supposedly works well but I have no experience with it to vouch for it. The harness buckle can also be purchased from Full metal fett but it is a reproduction. If you're looking for a found part they can be found on ebay pretty consistently and occasionally in the cargo hold. I got mine off ebay from a scuba museum or something.

Just wondering where your RF ear cap is?

Looks pretty good........I would weather the lower legs more. Also as stated above weather the girth belt and the gloves as well.

Thanks for the info! Definitely gonna hit up FMF for those hooks and buckle. I'll see if I can make it in Bigdane's run as well. This vendor information is just what I needed!

Awesome, I'll see if I can get an OG buckle from ebay or another site. I remember seeing a few for a good price on there over 6 months ago. The RF cap is in the shop, I haven't applied it yet because I haven't gotten the electronics for the stalk yet.

Oh yeah, that girth belt is so bright it could help locate me from space lol
I'll dirty up the bottoms of the legs too, but it was always a bit odd to me how little weathering the spats and legs had for the SE version as opposed to the OG RotJ. The gloves seem to get dirtier every time I put the suit on so I might just let those get salty with some time after a fine misting.

Your chest armor is too high as there is too large of a gap between the bottom of your ab plate and the flak vest bottom. The only other option besides moving the armor lower is tailoring the vest shorter. Full on frontal shots help judge armor placement better with arms at your sides.

Great eye!
I must admit that these are not the best photos to judge it even with the lighting. I'll be posting more as I progress here.

Also, I'm finally ready to purchase your kit! Your patience with me is amazing and I apologize a thousand times for being so unresponsive about it. Next time you have a free set ready I'll want in!

Not by much as the ROTJ SE has more fabric below the armor then the ROTJ or ESB....but yes. The collar armor is pulling back a bit which might help lower the collar and allow the chest and ab plate to be lowered. There needs to be a bit of fabric below the armor on the vest.

Same vest was used for both shots, the armor was just placed higher on SE versus RoTJ. There was about 1/4 to 1/2 inch gap below RoTJ and 1/2 to 3/4 inch in SE. Not an earth shattering difference.
