ROTJ Gauntlets flat rattle can color?

I know the color that is as close to the original is Satin Cabernet but is there an alternative that isn't glossy at all? Alternatively what's the best clear coat to remove all gloss?
Mine came out a little too glossy for my taste.

@ZenixNet if you do not want to repaint. You can just use Testors Dullcote which is a matte clear coat. Find it at Hobby Lobby or Amazon. We actually used the same Satin Cabernet for my friends and used the Testors clear coat to dull out the shine and worked fine. However it does have a slight undertone under certain light that can some what mask with black wash weathering.

Tfett40 Those are beautiful. I may just do that first and see what it looks like. I've dabbled with Rustoleum clear coat before but it always cracked on me. I assume this stuff is better and doesn't do that?

Before I got comfortable with the airbrush, I attempted to use Rustoleum and was not really happy with the results. I switched over to the Testors or Tamiya spray cans with much happier results, faster drying time and no issues with cracking if you let it dry long enough. I use Testors cans for primer and silver base coats and airbrush for the rest. But to answer your question, let the paint on the gauntlets dry for 48hours (if it is raining, cold or high humidity, wait longer) and you should be good with using the Testors clear coat without it cracking.

If you like the color but are not big on the glossy finish, you could always try taking fine grit sand paper to it. It will make it look scuffed, it smooths out clumps if present, and kills/diminishes any gloss finish. I recommend testing it before doing it on the gauntlets though.

After painting use a matte clear over them and scuff with a fine steel wool. Works like a charm to hide a gloss paint job.
