Respirators, Ventilation & Plastic Weld!

ho, man!

I just got done working with some plastic-weld. Now I've got a splitting headache; it KILLS the brain everytime. I wear a respirator but it still gets through. anyone else have this problem? solutions?
If your respirator is in good condition and the filters are not plugged with dust you shouldn't be inhaling and fumes. Is your mask done up tight enough? Do you have facial hair that would prevent a proper seal around your nose and mouth?
Some respirators aren't ment to filter fumes, the type of filter needs to be replaced. I think the type of filters needed are a charcoal type. If you unscrew the filter holders, it might explain what type are inside and what they filter. If they are the correct type ...... not sure :D
