Important note:

The blaster was stripped back to the base flare pistol post-production, and has since been carefully restored to how it looked in the films through the addition of replica greebles and accoutrements, which have been intentionally weathered and distressed to be as accurate as possible. The flare pistol is the only original element of the lot. In addition to the replica elements, the scope mount has undergone some sympathetic restoration.

I wonder if that means the Webley was chromed and restored? That would explain the delay from when they acquired and authenticated the piece to now, and the subsequent decision to put it up for auction.

I'm interested in the choice for the barrel clamps, particularly the rear clamp with the screw into the ring rather than the oft seen two plates coming together.

The patina on the gun itself looks pretty worn. Reminds me of my own, wherever it is. It's had a pretty hard life.

Well dude,yeah mine looks exactly the same as it at least it’s screen accurate weathering…lol

This was mine in summer '23, which i think was the last time I saw it. It's not in the box it's supposed to be in so I've no idea where I've put it.

This kind of thing happens to me from time to time. Usually happens after my wife makes a trip to the thrift store to make a donation. Weird coincidence.
