New Build and need some advice on what plastic to use for the armour

Hi guys, new to the forum as i stumbled upon it whilst i was researching my Boba Fett costume im currently working on for Halloween.

My question is this: What plastics would people suggest to use for the armor sections that can be used easily and with the least amount of technical skill?
Im comfortable heating up plastics with water and a blowgun but im not going all out and making a vacum molder just for this one project - so i need it to be able to be done in a typical house.

Iv come across a plastic called sintra in the US but it must go by a different name here in the UK, or any other suggestions people might have would be appreciated - preferably with places that it can be bought from/ordered off the net in small numbers.

Thanks again - Chris.

Christoph, if you live near a sign shop, see what they may have. I work near a sign shop an am able to get ABS sheet scrap for little or nothing. They have many thicknesses. East to cut heat and bend, sand and paint. The trash bin are made to be painted and although I have seen some trash can armor that looks pretty good, I think the Sintra type plastic is a better choice.

Pickle Buckets! Restaurants go through them like crazy! They're just standard 5 gallon buckets made out of 1/8" HDPE plastic. it takes a bit of work to get them prepped, but they work great. Ask aroung local resataurants or fast food places, Im sure they will love to get rid of them.
