Custom Mandalorian need advice

i'm thinking of building my own helmet and i am thinking of making a clay version of my helmet and i'm thinking of putting the clay on a foam head that is the same size as my head so i can build a full size helmet any advice would help a lot

Hmm.. why a clay version? For a mould?

My advice for a scratch build is to use cardboard and follow Antman's instructions. That's what I did and it turned out fine
