More update pix. Gaunts and Belt & Armor Now

Here are some pix of my progress. The belt is done, except for velcro on pockets, the gauntlets are doen except for the four missles and Hose on the one guant. The helmet is trimmed and primed. will start working on the helmet and armor next. the suit should be done this week also, then have to fade and weather it. I got the stuff to make toe spikes also. So it is starting to come together

I just dented and primed my armor today. Also added some epoxy to inside of helmet to have a place to put velcro to hold visor in place. I will try to get armor painted ASAP and then start on Helmet. and finish off with blaster rifle.
Then a little weathering and it will be done.

Oh No I forgot the braids. Doh!

Well I got the visor cut out and velcroed in last night. I might add a couple of nets though. it just does not seem snug enough. I will try to get chrome paint today to spray armor down with. and get started at least. If I can at least get helmet and armor with base paint done I could do a test run. Custom mando? LOL I just don;t think I will make it. At least I have fleet trooper to fall back on. My Son and Daughter went to the Zoo's Spooktacular dress up. Her in Mirax's ceremonial gown and him in kellogs clone trooper helmet and insulated underwear. LOL. And we got lots of compliments.

All you have to do is spray the sheet out of it weeth whiite spraay paaint!!!! Then you won't have other TDH guys giving you that look...you know the look, in their minds they be thinkin' "Man, soilman should have used more Bondo" or "too bad Soilman only spent 4 months on his Fett set-up...it shows" or this one..."Hmm, he used only 7 cans of paint on his bucket when everyone knows there are 17 cans of paint that are necessary to have Bucketus Supremus!"

thanks for the responses LOL should I use chrome or silver on the armor base coat? I saw one that said chrome, then zinc oxide which I do not know what that is the two coats of spruce green and two coats of us Med. Green. Is there not some yellow on the ESB armor also? thanks for help.

Yup... there is yellow in between the chrome & green layers. Its called Zinc Chromate, not zinc oxide Thats probably the color you are confused about Its a funny name, but it is actually a greenish yellow color, that many beleive to be a close match for the yellow visible on the armour. Should be easy to find, its a testors color. Sorry, don't have the exact # handy, but if you need it LMK. Hope that helps bud...can't wait to see that armour done

looks good, should'nt you have cut the chest display before painting though, or you just gonna paint black bars on, or you forgot?

I haven't made the display yet. so I will cut out the display once I get'r'done. with a small dremel bit.
