Gauntlets Gauntlet Catwalk

Would love if some of you would want to post some pictures of your current Jango gauntlets! I'm in the middle of making my own so it would help a lot :) What kind of buttons and lights etc that is used, and where to get them...

Thanks!

I've been waste deep in my girlfriend's jango build, currently focusing on the gauntlets now. I did acquire a set of cruzer's from a local, to which I did have to reach out to Lorenzo for some missing pieces that he did send out fortunately. I don't have a complete build recorded but most aspects. I'll see if I can get them all uploaded here for you.

Here's just a few of my WIP pics. These are current of last night..

On the home stretch with these, so I'm hoping to have them finished by the end of the week at the latest

Before on the right, after on the left. Used reference and it showed it has a much larger opening, albeit the one in the reference weren't as hollowed

The left-arm gauntlet is almost done. I was repainting the rocket which is why it's not seen, but should be done by this afternoon. I'll just have to throw it on and then it's ready for weathering. I'll then be able to focus on the right-arm gauntlet as that still needs the hinges, some more paintwork and a bit more add-ons for the greeblies.

Thanks guys!

Got the left-arm done, well, ready for some dirt

Gonna try and get the hinges on the other one tonight. Once the hinges are done, I can paint the other add-ons, and then throw on the other greeblies.

I like how I took over this thread for my WIP

Just some more work.

Painted the white-resin pieces. I may want to get cold cast versions later down the road but this will work. Gonna blend it all in and weather it. The paintjob isn't perfect, the paint I used (rustoleum chrome) was quite runny even with light coats.

And I finally got the hinges attached, and operational as of this morning

Let's see if I can get the rest of the greeblies on tonight.

Got a lot done last night.

First thing- the paint for the whipcord housing and the upper hose connector went bad. Guess it didn't like the primer underneath and just never dried properly. I guess I could have swinged not repainting it all things considered but I'm glad I went through the trouble of stripping it all down and then using rub and buff. Looks better IMO than before.

One thing that I don't have pics off is the mounting of the front spikes/metal darts but setting those up was not fun. Additionally, as you'll see, I didn't realize the darts I had were in fact Boba style. Due to time and my general attitude of not caring that far into the build, I'll just have to replace them down the road. Kinda annoyed.

After that, I focused on the grappling hook dart, making the fins from scratch in ABS. I eye-balled the design from the reference but feel it came out pretty good. I know the overall placement is further back than where it should be for accuracy, however, due to how far the thing already sticks out, I pushed it back for safety reasons.

So very pokey. I can't anger the girlfriend

And now they're both done, well, ready for dirt and hoses. So glad I can move on from these. This build was more tedious than I really care for under a time crunch

Thanks guys,

Here they are all weathered up. I used one set of visual reference for these from one of the Celebration displays, so that it all remained fairly consistent. I tried to match the details as best I could, but it's not perfect
