Got this helmet in a trade. It is fiberglass. still needs clean up work on it. there are some small chips and marks that will need to be filled and sanded with spot filler. I was converting it from ROTJ to ANH, but never finished it. I didnt get very far so it can easily be switched back to ROTJ. Not sure of the maker, but it looked like it could be a portumac?
It still needs some clean up and for the chin triangle to be cut out. May need more glass behind the chin before cutting the hole. i started making the edges of the dome thicker with bondo, but again never finished.
Since i do make props/helmets and such, i want to point out that this was from my personal collection that was to be used as a display piece and due to the unknown origin, not something i planned on casting, so it is NOT being sold as a master for molds and production.
Yes, but it isn’t hard to remove and replace the top tier, as most do it anyways to correct the tilt of the dome. I mainly say it looks like a rubies due to the dome. The eyebrow sections are definitely to low and the Mohawk is very wide and curved on the edges. Like I said, maybe I am wrong. Either way, for the price, you really can’t beat that for a fiberglass helmet and I hope this sells soon!
