Connect ear piece

Hello guys,
what is the best way to fix the right ear piece (the piece that hide the rangefinder stalk) ?
i read about using magnets but i didn't find any photos, can anyone help me?

I just drill out and counter sink about 3 rare earth magnets in the ear. Pretty straight forward. Let me see if I can snap a pic right quick...........

Ok so not my prettiest work but this as done quick............so don't judge.....lol

This is all hidden of course when the ear is placed on the helmet.
