Clone trooper armor templates

Clone trooper armors shouldn't be made with pepakura + resin + bondo. I guarantee you that you'll spend more money, time and effort scratchbuilding an armor than purchasing a plastic kit.
Do it at your own risk. :p You may want to visit www.clonetroopers.net, Sergiotron is making a complete armor with cardboard with no pepakura files but good eye and cutting skills.
Here you are some files but they are not accurate. They can be used as a good start though.
If you want better files, contact Skip.

PS: files can be downloaded 10 times. If you guys need to download them and the service is unavailable shoot me a PM ;)

Hands and elbows are completely wrong. Biceps missing. Shins needs to be reshaped. Chest and ab shouldn't be attached but separated as well as upper back an the lower back. Knees should be wider. Back-button plate should be bigger. The cod should have the detail groove (but you can sculpt it once the bondo has dried). Helmet doesn't have neckring...
Trust me, save money and buy a plastic kit unless you want to challenge your craftman skill abilities.

Thank you Ogait-Nas. This is just what i've been looking for. I will make an armor for my little brother (10yo). So it doesn't have to be screen accurate. These will help me out.

Not to derail but hoping to add to the convo and ask a newbie question: I have a friend who wants to sell me a full 'what I think is' plastic clone kit (Ima newb) for $250, izzat good? I can post pics. It looks thin and sorta flexible but its a full set and only needs boots and bucket.

Post the pics, and I'll see what I can tell you. Oh, and dartbhoba, to answer your original question, if you can find some templates, than I would suggest using them to make each piece out of cardboard (because it's easy to work with), then making a mold off of those pieces, and using the mold to make actual plastic parts: that's what I'm going to try.

250 is insanely cheap. i'd be skeptical just based on that low figure.

most clone kits go for $500 - $700 or so for just the plastic parts.

Yes. Becareful with "cheap" kits because instead of saving $s you can be wasting $250. Post pics of the kit and we will advise you :)

There is a member here (forgot now) that makes vac-formed kids clone armor. If he's not here then check clonetroopers.net. its not cheap... but not terribly expensive either. You'd definitely be super-dad if you made it for your kid!

Thanks Clonecollector,

A work project seems to want to rear it's ugly head, so on the bright side i'll have work to buy a vac-formed kit on the bad these projects are always due yesterday. So i might not even have time to build it. Aaaarrrrggggghhhh the life of an artist. Looks like i might be crashing and burning before I even start. Hehehe :p
