A Boba Fresh newbie

New Hunter
I have started my decent into madness.
The draw to Boba Fett has always been there, but I knew my painting skills could never do justice to a ESB or ROTJ Boba Fett. I thought all was lost until Season 2 of the Mandalorian. When I saw the repainted Boba Fresh, I knew I might have a chance. I had previously 3D printed a Mando helmet and now it was time to make Boba Fresh.
I chose the 3D Print Armory files for the helmet and started printing. Rodrigo was nice enough to slice them up so that they would fit on my print bed.

Using toothpaste I masked off area of the helmet that I wanted to stay smooth. Using truck bed coating, I applied texture to the helmet and then washed off the toothpaste. A big thanks to Tfett40 for his leg work on finding a good texture in this thread.

My texturing post is awaiting approval so things may appear out of order here, but it is time for painting of the bucket.
For the paint I decided to go with AFFO$ guide for rattle can painting. I had seen on other forums that people were using Montana Gold for paining, but I went with the good old Rust-Oleum for the painting.

The decals on the ears came from ShortFuse.

Nice! I'm building a refresh as well, and looks the same print file. What colors did you use? My local place only had a couple differnt kinds of Rustoleum red and I'm not particularly happy with it. I'll probably end up redoing mine if I can find a better color.

Thanks,
I used Rust Oleum Satin Cabernet. They don't seem to carry it at my local Lowes, but Home Depot had it.
