Zam, those look spectacular. Just curious - did you use any sort of clear topcoat after you painted them, or did you just use the acrylic color?

Dallas, I am so very impressed - that looks wonderful! :) Just out of curiosity, how much did the machinist charge you to make the barrel? (forgive me if this is already posted somewhere)

I'll go with the opinion that it should go over the bustline - because of the reasons above, but also because of comfort. That's a big issue. ;)
