    Armor/Greeblies Leather weathering

For the shins, I first wrapped and glued the leather around the shins. Then I put a base leather dye on them. Then I mixed some high quality acrylic paint with water and airbrushed the shins. I varied the mixture, making it darker and lighter in some places. I did not add any extra...

    Vest Tubes?

Yes, this is for the tube to vest attachment. The same ones they used on the film appear to still be available.

    Armor/Greeblies Leather weathering

Well, that's a different type of leather. The soft garment leathers wrapped over pieces like the shin guards shouldn't be scratched up or roughed up with sandpaper/steel wool...at least that's not what I'd do. You don't want to mess with the integrity of that thin leather. Yes I did airbrush...

    Armor/Greeblies Leather weathering

0000 Steel Wool and a bit of sandpaper. The leather itself should look worn, not grimy. For the armor pieces that are supposed to be more dirty, I used black and brown acrylic paint - wipe on, wipe off.

Boots Prada alternatives- think these work?

I just found 3 pairs of reasonably priced, normal sized accurate Prada boots on ebay after literally 5 minutes of looking. There is absolutely no need to short change the costume by getting inaccurate soled boots. This is NOT a budget costume if you're looking for something 501st approved. If...

Armor/Greeblies Is there a Zam chest armor template pdf available anywhere?

There's tons of Zam information on this forum. People have already done loads of groundwork on the costume. The reason there are no templates is because the costume is just not that popular like Mandos are and its an incredibly difficult costume to get right. As best as I can tell, there are...

    Vest Tubes?

They are a gardening hose attachment from Australia. I had someone from Australia pick them up and ship them. Last I checked, the correct ones couldn't be ordered online. They are described as: "25mm BSP, Nut and 19mm Tail"

    Vest Tubes?

Yes. I have the legit accurate hose attachments from down under and the size appears to be correct.

    Vest Tubes?

The closest hose I've found are replacement hoses for a bissell spot bot, painted black and weathered. The replacement hose costs about $15 and can be bought online.

General In progress CRL for Zam Wesell from the Bounty Hunter's guild (copy & pasted)

It should be a bit brown but lighting makes a difference. You can see more photos of the same skirt here where it looks more purple. It should definitely not be Barney purple. http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f29/my-wifes-finished-zam-37785/

These are the unedited photographs taken for the CRL. Webchief gave me the go ahead. Hopefully these are useful for the new zammers. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5eqsks7shvhym4w/AAAF6gtkG4owoFvp2xQvLaiCa?dl=0

    My Wife's FINISHED Zam

Thanks JD. We only troop in these costumes about once a year these days because of just how much work it is to get into them and wear them.

I took a bunch of detailed pictures for the CRL, which I submitted to Webchief.

Thanks silvermitt. I'm the writer of this CRL attempt. I'm hoping with some tweaking we can finally get a CRL done.
