Modify Illusive Concepts or Not?

I've got an Illusive Concepts version that is in very good shape. It was one of the early numbers. I would love to have working panels though. Is it worth modifying it or am I better just building one from scratch? Thanks again.

Looks like this area may be frozen in carbonite as I was the last post a week ago. If anyone does read this and has any thoughts, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi msorer5!

Very frozen area here!

If you have an illusive Concept in a great shape, keep it original! They are harder to find these days. And they are Collector items now. The prices will only go up, when the condition is great.
In my opinion, they are part of the Star Wars history now. I remember, when I saw the first one in my live! It was long before the internet and i was flashed! Didn't know about some not accurate parts on this thing.

Build one accurate for you, if you want, but don't cut down an original thing in good shape.

I do a lot with classic cars and I really love survivor cars. Cars from the 50s or 60s with first paint and low miles...... They show some wear here and there, rust bubbles, dents and scratches, a ripped seat, but they are only original once! Everyone can find a restored car with new paint, but finding a survivor and try to save a nice condition is the big thing! These cars have character and a heart.

So keep the IC original and you will be thankfull to yourself in a few years.

Just my 2 Cents.
