Well, as I understand it, whomever gets done first gets to write the CRL, if they want to do that is. I'm up to it, honestly. But I'm not as knowledgeable as others when it comes to the specific names of fabric, technique, and general sewing terms. I pretty much figured I wouldn't be the one after all since I had to move Bazine to the back burner to get my daughter's Princess Leia ceremonial gown done before her 10th birthday in mid-June. All I need to finish for Bazine is to sew up the main outer covering, and I'm done.
I haven't heard anything about approval since I don't know if anyone has actually tried it yet. I do know they were unsure of her status of bounty hunter or criminal scum. I gave what information I could glean to Robert at the BHG, and he feels the same about this character as I do (I think), but he wanted to talk with others high up in the SW food chain to determine her official status. I'd say the sooner someone pushes the CRL for her, the quicker they'll get her sanctioned as an official character.
Remember the hoo-bah over Kylo, and how it was uncertain just how big his role was in Episode 7? They really dug in hard to make that costume, and all they had to go on was, what.. 3 trailers? There are some changes done to the CRL and possibilities of a couple of other versions of Kylo in the works now too. They did an outstanding job on the CR's groundwork, btw, even with changes made due to the release of the dvd finally. In regards to Bazine, I think part of the reason nothing beens officially done to her is because she's in flux as to her role in the movie and what has been posted in print.
I admit I'd think it'd be a bit funny though, if she was never mentioned again after 7, and some of us hoping for character clarification get nothing more.
