My first attempt at clone boots????

So here it is, my first attempt at a pair of clone boots. I winged it off pics of other boots in the show off your clone boots thread. I'm not happy but not bad for my first attempt.

I used a pair of mossimo skate shoes that I got at Target and bought some white vinyl online. For the boot horse shoe spats I used a five gallon white plastic bucket. I traced them out and it worked sweet. The bucket is already round so since I do not have a heat gun there was no need to bend the plastic. Here's a few pics

So for the round disc's I used this bit that lets you cut out circles.

Then I applied them with JB Weld and weathered them with a Tamiya weathering kit.

And the finished product

Looking good so far! Will you be weathering them? Personally Im a kinda 'shiny liking' trooper myself....did you pick up the discs too for the straps?

oOo.. i like your boots...

mine are more low-cut, but the you run into the problem of what goes between the top of the boot, and the bottom of the shin armor.. i like the way you solved this problem! i may have to adapt mine to do something like this...
