Finished making the baldcap and have attached the various parts.
The front lekku needs some readjusting so that it wraps around without puckering, need to refine some of the head structure as well. The lighting doesn't really do it justice but there is a lot of definition in the skull shape.

This is where I'm at for now, still needs some tweaking and will be ready to paint soon. Of course I forgot to attach the neck piece for this shoot

It's actually very comfortable to wear and weighs very little.
The costume is under construction now too. Can't wait to get this done!!

The finishing line is nearly in sight (well, for the mask that is)!!
Have applied the base colour with pax paint and put in some subtle shading with rubber mask grease. I applied a layer of KY jelly to give it a glossy sweat sheen.
Still haven't found the right contact lenses, most of the ones available are too red, the search continues.
Hoping to apply this baby sometime in the next week.

Dude that's so AWESOME. i have always wanted to be able to do that type of prop work, but never knew where to start.
got any tiips for a newb, on where to start? any good books of the trade, you would recommend?

Just researched on the net mainly, bought "The Prop Builders handbook" too, very useful.
