Hi guys!

My name is Kimmy and I'm 27 y/o, living in Williamston, MI, and engaged to Mr Fett. I'm mom to a dog, two cats, and a gecko.

I work as a Web Technician for the Brennan Law Library in Lansing. Love my job. :D

I was a Fantasy/Sci Fi fan growing up but more in the way of books than movies and comics. I knew about Star Wars, but being that I was born in 1977, I never saw the original triology in the theaters and never saw them on video. Shocking, I know. ;)

As much as people diss the prequels, it was Episode I that introduced me into the world of Star Wars. I saw it I don't know how many times and was hooked. I went out and rented the original, bought books and comics and submersed myself in Star Wars. I finally understood! :cheers

I had always enjoyed Halloween and dressing up but never once thought about dressing up for a con. So for the local Motor City comic Con, myself and a friend of mine dressed up. And there I met Andy.

BobaGrrls.jpg

When I saw Boba Fett, I went nuts! I had to meet him and shyly told him how cool I thought he was to have such an awesome costume.

He told me about the 501st but I didn't think I'd ever have the talent to own such a costume.

Boy how wrong I was!

We lost touch for about a year and ran into each other again at Dragon*Con 2001!

kimmyboba.jpg

Fate...eh? ;)

By this time he had a Tusken Raider costume as well as the Boba Fett. I went with him to events wearing the Tusken while he wore Boba.

Soon, I had my own male Tusken Raider and eventually we upgraded that to a Female Tusken Raider!

We began dating and are now engaged. :)

A Zam costume is in the works and in the meantime, I've added many other costumes from other genre's into the mix.

I enjoy costuming very much and I have Andy to thank for that. Had I not gone to that con, I may of never of met any of the great friends I've made thru the 501st, TDH, RPF, and other places across the net. :D

lilburndiablo, I was just in Sedona last week! Man we fell in love with it! I want a second home there! :)

Howdy,
Name's Brian Gibson, BrianTheSith to ya'll here at the boards, Gibby or Gibb to my friends. 22 years old, I live in Logan, UT, 125 lbs, 5'11", etc, etc.

I'm kinda new the the Fett scene, but I've been a Star Wars fan my entire life. I used to run around the house when I could barely talk saying "Turna na Jedi".

Not married, yet, but I'm working on that one. Hopefully things will work out. :)

Currently, I'm working on my Boba Fett costume, and have really enjoyed it. This isn't my first Star Wars costume, but I'll say it has been the most time consuming. I wish I had more time to work on it, but my weeks are filled with school and work, and my weekends the past couple of weeks have been filled too. Tonight (4.15.05) I plan on working some more on my helmet, (DP '96) and hopefully will be able to finish the weathering. I'm hoping to be done in time for RotS.

I'm really grateful to all of you here for your help and encouragement with making my costume. It's nice to know you've got some friends floating around cyber space (though, technically, I don't really know any of you personally, I consider you my friends).

My name is Blaine, and I'm 20 years old. Most people call me Jaster, as that's been my yahoo ID since forever, and it's my first and only SW outfit. Yes, I'm aware that there is already a Jaster here, and his name is Matt, but I don't really care. I have a feeling he'll be cool about it.*lol*

I live in Wilmington, NC, and I'm currently training to be a local law enforcement officer. I am, however, taking a few days off to participate in Dragoncon '05. Hooah!

Hey everyone,
Had I known this was still an active link I would have posted here when I joined recently.
Anyway, I'm fairly new here. I should have joined up when I first started working on my Boushh costume, but there was no Boushh section so I just left the TDHing to my boyfriend John (TK-1776). After meeting some of you at CIII and seeing all the really great costumes I figured it couldn’t hurt to belong to one more forum.

Let's see. . . My name is Jessie. I’m 22 years old and I'm a member of the 501st New England Garrison and have been for about three years now. I was so happy to find other geeks like me!
I love scifi - Star Trek:TNG mostly. I know, I know. But I love Star Wars too. John recently got me into Dragonlance too, which I am totally in love with now.

I’ve always loved SW since I was a kid and I got back into it when I randomly found Timothy Zahn’s Heir to the Empire trilogy in a book store one day back in 1996. Haven’t been able to stop reading them since then. After that it was on to collecting all the action figures and then onto costuming with the NEG.
I love reading practically anything interesting, I’m really into writing (it’s what I’d like to do for a living) and my other hobbies include lots of time on the computer in photoshop, working on my website and taking care of my pets. It’s not a hobby really, but I’m also really into my religion (touchy subject, I know) which is Jehovah’s Witness.

I live in Massachusetts with John, my dog Pixel (she’s a papapoo), cat Amelie, Quaker parakeet Gunther, and lovebird Gimli (we call him Button). On Sunday we’re adding two more lovebirds into the zoo. No names as of yet, but I’m considering some cutesy romantic scifi names since they are a breeding pair. Han and Leia is too typical though. I’ll have to think about it.

I work at EMC in customer service. We’re a data storage company.
That’s me in a nutshell.
Oh, and here is a link to some pics:

I am a recent immigrant to TDH and am really impressed by this community so far and look forward to contributing. I am just getting started on my Fett now that I am mostly finished with my TIE Pilot and Stormtrooper. My other main hobbies are music (DJ'ing, producing) and riding my motorcycle ('01 F4i).

Well... I suppose I should go ahead and do this since I'm starting to post here more often now :p

Hello all, I'm Britt Dietz. And no, that's not short for anything. Just Britt. It's not Brett though... if only finding my name on the personalized sounvanier keychains would have been that easy! I'm 21, nearing 22 in a month. Born in 1983 (ROTJ year).

My primary interest is aviation, mostly military aviation. Historical to Modern Day jet fighters I'm a aviation photographer right now. It's not an official job yet... but I'm working on it. I've already been published in several magazines, and I get recognized at airshows 'Are you the Aviation Photographer Britt?' I've taken nearly 2 million photos of aircraft at museums/air events/ airshows since I really got into shoot in 1997 at the last MCAS El Toro airshow here in SoCal (*sniff* I miss that base). I now travel all around SoCal and beyond to airshows and air events, sometimes driving 200 miles at 5am in the morning to get to an airshow. I have a rather large website now that showcases my photography, which is the primary source in which I get contacted by magazines for publishing. It's usually updated a week or so after each show/event unless I'm swamped with various things. http://www.warbird-photos.com I use a Canon Rebel EOS XT 350D (new 8 megapixel Rebel) with a Canon 100-400mm IS USM lens to photography most airshows now. I've been a major part of the world famous Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, California for about 3 years now. I'm their webmaster ( http://www.planesoffame.org ), graphic designer, and official photographer all as a volunteer. Being around those rare birds is a dream come true. I get a lot of special access from the museum, including air-to-air photo sessions. Sometime in the near future I plane to go into the final professional phase of aviation photography and sell photos/calendars and eventually publish a book.

Favorite Fighters:
Best Fighter of all Time: North American P-51D Mustang
Modern Day: Boeing F/A-18C Hornet (I do NOT like the Super Hornet)
Favorite Bombers:
Best Bomber of all Time: Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress
Modern Day: B-1B Lancer

Why so interested in military? Well, alot comes from family history and the heritage of this area of Orange County. My family has a lot of background in the military, even back to World War 2. That, and the fact that I grew up going to the MCAS El Toro Airshows (my first memories are from airshows there) are really what got me started... but it wasn't until I saw Saving Private Ryan (fav movie ever) that I suddenly realized the history in World War 2. I've become a Warbird Historian (focusing on WW2) since, and I've devoted most of my time to help preserve these warbirds by volunteering at the Planes of Fame Museum, which hosts one of the best collections of flying WW2 aircraft. I have yet to fly in a Jet Fighter, although I have flown in warbirds. Someday I hope to get a flight in a F/A-18 or the Blue Angels... someday :)

So... I should mention that Star Wars thing right? :p Well, I remember watching Star Wars when I was really little on VHS that was recorded from HBO. I always loved Darth Vader... he was my favorite. It wasn't until the Special Editions that a friend really pushed on me this bounty hunter character named Boba Fett. I didn't really care as I had the mentality that Vader was the best and that's that. Well, finally I caved in.. then really got interested in Boba Fett. After a while, I decided to start a website devoted to Boba Fett. At first it was a one page site with a short bio on him, some pictures of me in a horrible cardboard Fett costume, some random Fett movie photos, animated gifs, etc. In other words, it was a really crappy website. It wasn't until 1998 that I really pulled the site together and started to really develop it into something more than just a one page fan site. I even gave the site a name, the Boba Fett Multimedia Page. In 2000, I got it a domain, bobafettmp.com And in 2001 I finally had designed and built the site the way I wanted it looking rather professional. At that time with the release of AOTC had turned the BFMP into the largest Fett site on the net, knocking the Boba Fett Fan Club off it's perch. Well... then the dark times for the site came when I got more and more interested in aviation... and I since about two years ago I've stopped all work on the site and don't really think I will be continuing. I still do have a major interest in Boba Fett, but the site got too time consuming to really continue... as such it continues to sit there. How long I keep it online I'm not sure, I know it's useful to people still. But I don't think any more updates will come out of it. The BF Fan Club has offered to merge the site into theirs... but I've always been a bit weary of them.

He owes me lunch this year at Comic Con:

Occupation... I'm a Digital Photo Retoucher and Graphic Designer for a photography studio. I'm also the webmaster of about 7 sites, and do graphic design for other companies as well.

So... there you go! My story.

I leave you with a split second photo I caught of the USN Blue Angels doing a knife edge pass at the NAS El Centro Airshow 2005:

Nice P-51-D! Always liked the D-Day Black and white stripes! I grew up going to airshows also. My dad owned two Stinsons and currently owns a 1947 Navion. He has been a member of the "Commerorative (Confederate) Air Force for over 25 years also. Been out of the "aviation appreciation" for a while, but getting reinterested in it also. :)

Very nice work Britt!
