New Hunter
Hello,
I finally stopped creeping around and created an account. I'm setup in Mobile, AL and am currently attending the University for an I.T degree and working in a video game retail shop. I purchased a rubies "supreme" edition boba fett costume after I got out of the Army and was immediately disappointed. Lesson learned :)
Anyways,

Hello my name is Moses :)

Welcome. From what I read in previous posts, only the jetpack is salvageable after a new paint. A bit small but can work. The rest, well you know. What did you do with it? Or do you have it still

I've replaced the jetpack with a Man of War one :)
I'm keeping the helmet since it's lightweight (changing out the stubby stalk, weak visor and deplorable paint "job")
I still have the old one sitting in my closet.
The rubies jetpack is secured to the backplate and attaches to the shoulders of the crummy vest and chokes the living life out of you. In short, it kills you while making you look bad :)

One of the guys I troop with here is a retired Marine who started with a Rubies Darth Vader and now is top tier approved in the 501st. Thank you for your service and I hope the degree serves you well. I work in IT and both love and hate it.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot, MinuteFett

Snappy, Rubies is good for a learning experience (I guess I can say that much about those things) Thank you, I was bored and looking for something to do and figured with a $600 billion budget the military must be working on AT-AT's... I was disappointed to discover no such program exists... that they told me about. I could imagine IT being a love hate relationship just from my studies. What area of IT are you in, if I may ask?

That did the trick, thanks MinuteFett!! So thats me picking up battlefront and my recent update of speakers to the jetpack, they sound good... but could be louder. Ill see if i can upload a sample video of the speakers in action.
