New User with a Poor Man's Boba Fett

New Hunter
Hey folks,
I've been looking for a place to share my little project and I'm thinking this might be the place. I've been working on what I would call the "poor man's boba fett"... aka. I'm making a suit out of duct tape and foam. I'm going for a small level of accuracy with a lot of artist interpretation. I don't know if this forum is really is a good place for it or not, if people would actually want to see it, but I figure it's worth trying to share. I've been taking a ton of WIP pictures along the way.

I am wondering if there's a general discussion subforum that this sort of thing might be okay to share in? If so I would love if someone could point me in the general direction. I've been looking but I'd really hate to put this sort of thing in the wrong place. Thanks for stopping by!

Still a ton of work to do... but that's the fun of it, right? I'm just hoping to have it done by Halloween so I think I'll be fine.

Disclaimer: I do want to say that I have a ton of respect for those that can make accurate fett suits and I am in no way disrespecting the efforts that others put into their work. Duct tape is the only medium that I have access to.

Welcome. Pretty good artist interpretation of Boba Fett and creativity to use duck tape. My guess would be the Sarlacc Pit, since it is general discussion forum to discuss and share your project. Obviously, you can research the Boba Fett Costume and Helmet Forums for reference of the costume. Best of luck wrapping it up.

The concept of a duct tape fett is impressive. Hopefully you won't have any tape touching your skin or it's going to get seriously sweaty. Did you paint on the damage or is that more tape?

I think it's brilliant.....but you're probably spending as much on duct tape as you would on armour LOL.....anyway keep updating us...I think it's a really clever costume.

It's all duct tape so the battle damage and wear is all duct tape too. This WIP pic is really dark but you can kinda see how the silver tape looks on the blue of the jetpack. The wear and tear part is my favorite part to work on with this little project but it takes forever... and for the most part, there is no duct tape on skin contact. The project is made of duct tape sheets that I lay out so it doesn't stick to me but it does get really hot. I do wear a shirt and pants underneath...
