New to costuming...

Hi!

I'm new to costuming but not Star Wars, and definitely not Fett's! Woefully, this is all very intimidating to my simple mind.

When I first saw Empire as a kid I knew Boba was for me! I've known of the 501st for some time, which originally turned me on to this site about a year ago, though I never joined. Due to lack of funds I had consigned myself to perpetual jealousy of everyone with a Mandalorian costume of any sort.

Well I couldn't stop thinking about it so I said screw it, I'm going to try my hardest.

Anyways pointers or advice is appreciated!

Sometimes you definitely need to just pull the trigger and start building Costuming is a great hobby but can get outrageously expensive if you're not careful. Create a budget and be patient! Be sure to post your progress and take advantage of all the awesome people here.

I started this hobby kinda the same way you are describing but finally just said "I am just going to do it".
My biggest recommendation is READ READ READ. There is a ton of info here and a ton of help to be had. Read, get a plan and then start. I read, started and then got a plan....lol... which cost me a little extra in the long run but it as still fun.

Welcome that's how I started too and 3years in my Boba is still not done . Made a plan after like Mullreel and cost a lot extra as well. But this hobby is loads of fun and the finished product is priceless to some. Best of luck.
