Hi, everyone!

Hunter
Hello, everyone! My name is Will, and I'm currently stationed in Virginia Beach. I'm new to this whole world of Boba, but have been a member of the legion for a little more than a year now. I'm looking forward to upgrading from a plastic spaceman to a sarlacc snack. I've been ravenously reading through all sorts of threads here, and I gotta say there's so much good info. I've had a few interactions with members via the cargo hold already, and everyone has been super helpful.

Welcome to the forum! Keep reading as there will always be something else to learn about Boba. Do you know which version of the suit you want to do? If I can make a recommendation it would be to always do your research on sellers by checking this site. Just search the sellers name in the search function and see what you find because odds are someone's bought from them before. The sellers on here are quality and reliable but it would be wise to avoid most of ebay and etsy. Again make sure you read and ask plenty of questions and good luck on your build!

Thanks, Drax. I'm planning on doing a ROTJ. A couple of the local Mandos recommended avoiding ebay sellers, and somewhere along the line tdh got mentioned which brought me here. I probably spent a good month lurking and reading before registering. My flight suit from Carole at Arkady Designs is supposed to ship next week-ish. I just received my helmet kit from Erickson Props, and have been talking to RKD about a full armor/greeblie kit. After that it's the jetpack, boots, and the rest of the soft parts and I should be good to go. Chipping away at Fett Mountain has begun! With how friendly and helpful everyone here has been it doesn't seem as daunting a task as I initially thought.

Welcome Soundwave. Have fun chipping away on the Fett mountain. Great choice on the ROTJ. RKD is a great choice on the armor. I bought mine from him, it is truly a work of art. Have fun brother.....

Will, forgot to ask. What branch of service are you in?
I'm a Submariner in the Navy.

That's great to hear about RKD's kit. I 'm looking forward to it once he returns from his hiatus, but at least it gives me time to work on the helmet. Did you get abs or resin gaunts? Just curious.

Sorry for the delayed response. I paid for the resin. They're a lot more reinforced with the resin layer. I spent a day on a sub a couple of years ago, it was Awesome.......

No problemo. Thanks for the insight on the resin version.

Not sure if your thoughts on being on a sub has a hint of sarcasm . I just say that cause a lot of people tell me the opposite. They usually tell me "I don't know how you do that" or "what do you mean you don't have windows?"

We went out at Point Loma for the day, we cruised above and below the water at about thirty to forty miles off the coast of California. Learned a lot, and I was really impressed with the young sailors on the boat. It really was super awesome. I would love to do that again. It was the second coolest thing I've ever had the opportunity to do!
