Hi all,

I'm Rory, 31 from Oxford UK. Firstly I'm a Car nut, built and customised various cars and bikes, I've found this has helped me with most builds spraying, fabrication and more. Weirdly being a jack of all trades comes to a surprise with a lot of my work colleagues as I'm a Trust Officer with a private Banking firm and the same goes for my friends lol

I've been building projects for a while now.....3/4 years on and off and of various size complexity. These have included Ironman Suits, Ironman Helmets, Captain America Shields, Mjolnir ( Thors Hammer ) and more, recently I'm planning a custom Storm trooper build maybe with a slight Ironman twist but this is still in the planning stage........and I should at some point focus on my new home at some point lol

Anyway really look forward to chatting and swapping ideas with you all

Any questions feel free to ask, I've attached some pictures of projects new and old, hope you like.

Hi guys, cheers for the welcome, still at the planning stage ATM, keep changing my mind on a accurate build or something with a bit of a twist, think might go for a mix of trooper, mandoloran and boba tbh but when I've narrowed down the sketch word will start a WIP

So Hames where bits in Oxford, might have seen you at Oxcon lol

I'm in Headington, but sadly didn't go Oxcon. Heard about it but was working. I was close, and it would have been the perfect place to wear Boba for the first time, I still haven't worn it 'out' yet.

Am not far then, yea shame you missed it was a good laugh, obviously with Dave Prouse there was very star wars orientated

SO how far you got with your suit/costume? did you do movie accurate or with a twist?

It's a pity I missed it. But theres plenty of other cons and events coming up this summer. And Dave's a really nice guy, met him in Manchester at 'For The Love of the Force' convention, regretting not being able to go now haha. I'm pretty much finished the costume, a couple little things to finish/change, I keep finding out new things I did wrong. Like the back of the helmet isn't the proper colour, the knee armour needs to be more orange that kind of thing. I'm going for as close to movie accurate as I can, but there are small parts of the costume that aren't completely movie accurate that I've grown to like, kinda gives that personal twist.
