Hello Everyone!

I thought it was about time I stopped lurking and finally said "Hello" to everyone. My name is David Murphy (but you can call me David, Dave, Murph) and I am from Coolidge, Arizona. I used to belong to this site way back when it was called "As You Wish". I had "completed" my ROTJ suit back then in 2002; it was "good enough" at that time to me and I moved on. However, I've watched this site off-and-on over the years and have simply been amazed at the level of quality, information, and ingenuity that has been displayed here. It was finally enough to kick me in the rear, realize how much I fell short and needed to improve on my suit to even hope to reach the standards that are set today. And as before, I've gotten alot of good advice from this site that has already helped me out; thank you everyone!

One challenge I've always had was making a set of chest armor my size. I'm 6'4" and most of the templates out there I've printed off seem scaled alittle small for me. I've tried some vac armor made by some talented people here yet still the same results; great armor but too small for my chest. Since I don't have any vacuforming skill I've resorted to trying to make my armor out of sentra. Below is my latest set I've made. It's seems closer to the right size than I've done before, yet still seems alittle too big. But I keep hoping one day I'll get it right :D
(BTW: the chest lights are by Fettronics, which are awesome! Jon is not only really talented but a great guy to deal with too)

Anyway, I've rambled on enough. Take care everyone!
