second attempt at beskar'gam - Ram'ser Galaar this time

Kyr am Galaar

Active Hunter
Hey my fellow mercenaries. long time no post and i apologise for that.
things have been mad here and i have had no time to do anything, so the original idea has now been shelved due to loss of enthusiasm, but it has not been forgotten. instead i am going to try and start work on a new set or beskar'gam. a different design, but hopefully when it is finished it shall rekindle my enthusaism for the other one.

Anyway, im sure you are all fed up of my ramblings, so will try and put up my idea in a few minutes, just need to scan the picture into the computer. Hope you will all like my idea.

here is the idea that i am going to be working on.
the basic idea is that he is a tracker, sort of a frontiersman, hence the long torn coat.
the plates im planning on painting dark blue, with the mythosaur skull in white on the left chest plate, and the reek clan symbol (somthing i used on my last design, a reek skull) also in white on the right shoulder plate. The larger shoulder pauldrons are to be in a tan leather, and the coat hopfully in a dark brown.
i shall try and put up another concept design soon, with colour next time.

hope you all like it. any feedback will be appreciated.

thats the look i was going for. i want it to look like the old wester gunslingers with a long rifle for sniper shots and dirty boots and gloves like he had been tracking using the land and his eyes instead of fancy electronic stuff.
(also think it would look cool to have to pull back the coat before drawing the pistol ;) )

lol yeah thats awesome... Somewhere below in this Forum is another Western Mando WIP. Someone posted there some pics of an Star Wars Look-Colt. You should check this out as an inspiration cause I think this would be perfect for your mando!

thanks for the tip. will check it out. also want some inspiration for a star wars style shotgun or rifle to sling across the back.

any tips would be great

ive started work on the helmet, and am slowly getting there. trying to fit it in between work and other commitments is hard, but should be starteing on the filler in the next few days to smooth out the seams.

Hope to see some pics soon. For the rifle you could build something inspired by the Winchester 1887 Model. That would be cool and fitting to your theme

here is my progress so far. ive taken a liberty with the design of the dome, and i like the way it looks. i have got to put filler on it and smooth out the edges, and i hope to do that soon.

ive always been a bit weary about the rangefinder as its dificult to get it right. so i was thinking of making some of those macrobinoculars like some clone troopers have.
would it fit with the scheme? input would be good

well... if u look at my sketch in my avatar window, u'd see I use a macrobinoc as does Mereel A'denla aka Mereel Skirata here and a few others over at the mercs... it's catching on w/ mandos, and it makes sense because it seems like a tactically advantageous tool to have and it's very handy.
