Alan (WizardOfFlight) was sized up the armor templates for me. He did create a 3D cod-piece model, quite similar to pepakura if you're familiar. I had tried to assemble it in paper,but I couldn't get it done right, though Alan said he did one himself, so maybe I did something wrong. In any case, given the limited time, I figured this would be the best route. Use his template for the main body to make out of sintra, the floral foam to build up and give a general shape and finally adding quite a bit of Magic Sculpt, using water to smooth it all out. I was expecting to do filler work, the usual...but I did a good sanding across it all and it turned out way better than expected, so I couldn't be luckier...almost was going to go the con without the cod piece..

So tonight, we do the mother mold..and I am picking up my soft parts!

This looks really good. Just make sure and do a bunch of curls to pump up before you hit the con floor.

Probably the best realization I have seen of Montross

Do all the curls! As I said on your Instagram this looks spot on dude. I just wanted to give you some extra positive reinforcement haha but Very well done.

Reviving this thread to show off what is coming soon!

This is one of the props I've been wanting to do when starting this project, based off the concept art for Star Wars Bounty Hunter. While the in-game pistols are largely the same overall design, they added a lot more detail to that final game version. However, for the Open Seasons action figure, they gave him these pistols, which largely don't seem different from the concept art. Currently having the model printed by a friend. This was modeled by Indigenous Effects
