Su cuy'gar! Ner gai'e Josue. I have just started on my first armor set. I'll post pictures up once I get my camera back from my sister. I had a few questions though. First of all, I have some masking fluid at home but I don't know if it'll work, it is called: Winsor & Newton Colourless Art Masking Fluid for Water Colour. Ok second, I was wondering if anyone could make a template for me, I want to match my armor from my SWG character, I just need a slight alteration to the collar, chestplate, and maybe the back plate. Here is how I want it to look:

I would do it myself but I suck at drawing, ha ha. I would like the backplate to still connect to the collar, the collar to be one piece, as well as the chest plate to still be 2 pieces. I have made some custom knee armor, if any of you have seen the Mando armor from SWG that's how I made mine. I have cut out the leg, knee, shin, crotch, butt, and shoulder bells already, just waiting to see if I can get some help with the chest, collar, and back.

Seems SWG players fall into costuming more than any other game-players, haha. I myself used to play SWG on the Starsider server, and was a part of a Mando guild. Seems you use the same colours as I did, love them :D

Good luck!

Vor'e vode! Oh yeah is the masking fluid ok to use? I'm not sure because it says for water color. Well I'm not gonna be painting for a few days so I should have time to get a different one if necessary. Also I making this set mostly out of trash cans, but I plan to make a 2nd set out of sintra, I wanted to ask you guys, what's the learning curve to use a dremel?

Windsor and Newton masking fluid is perfect. What you have shouldn't be a problem at all vod.

You'll definitely want to practice on a few pieces. Using the dremel isn't hard, but honestly you may come out better using some snips of some sort on the trash can armor. On sintra the dremel should be fine, just wear some breathing protection.

Masking fluid is fine, but if it is too expensive (where some places it is way too expensive) you can use Mustard and Tooth paste.

Some pictures:

My gloves:

The material for my vest & maybe a cape, depending on how much I have left over:

The paint I'm using, are these ok to use by the way?

My shoulder bells and cod piece, I'm redoing the cod piece, I hate how it turned out:

A water gun I bought for $2 at a goodwill store, I'm gonna mod it into my blaster:

I decided that I'm gonna make the rest of my armor from sintra, probably just keep the shoulder bells from the trash cans. I was wondering how much of the armor I could make with a 24x48 piece of sintra? I want to know how much to order. I'm cutting out some chest armor from the trash cans also just so I can practice my painting.

Although two sheets that size would probably be enough...I would probably get 3 for safety. The back plate of the SWG mando suit has the tapering V at the bottom instead of the extending side plates like the movie mando...so that requires less sintra. If this is your first time dealing with Sintra, I suggest that you have enough in case you make a miss-cut. Plus if you want to add anything, or even make a jet pack, that extra sintra is going to to make you breath alot easier later...trust me =D

Awesome price. That wholesale price or something we all can take advantage of?

Makes me wonder if these guys are charging more because they are cutting it. That's still a huge price difference.
