Whoa! Calm down there big guy you're going to blow a gasket! You can't post pics of what you haven't made yet give the girl some time.:cheers

Thanks a lot for the pic! i don't need any nuts in between the shank and the screw?

You can use chicago screws, trust me... I've done three helmets now with chicago screws and they work great.

You won't need any nuts, but what I did was went to the plumbing section in Walmart or Home Depot, and pick up a package of kitchen faucet washers. They're either made of very hard rubber or plastic. Use those as the spacers to snug the visor down, like this...

To glue everything in, I used a two part epoxy that I found in the automotive section... it's typically used to repair plastic and fibreglass bumpers. Works like a charm, and hasn't pulled out yet! ;)

Hey! How come no one is this sexcited I mean excited about my progress pics? Sheesh, you wear a little mascara around here any everyone comes a runnin...LOL! That's it, I'm posting pics of me in a mini skirt with my helmet.

ahah! well im glad everyone has interest in my progress, it means a lot.
I pretty much finished the helmet. I ended up hot glueing the visor in place, I don't think its going anywhere. I did go to the hardware store and asked them about chicago screws and he looked at me like an idiot :(
Thanks again for all the advice and help!

Very nice concept, and the helmet is coming along nicely. I recently purchased a 95 Don Post off eBay, but it is really whacked, once I get caught up on my other projects I will be hammering away at it. Good luck with your project.

Yeah, sorry about that, apparently I do have a bit of an anger management problem... :facepalm

All I meant to say was that this is such an interesting project, I just wanted to see more!!

There's a lot of us out there who wished their better halves would get into the Mando thing, I'm just interested to see how Tiffany's project pans out!

I'll behave myself now, honest! :cheers

By the way Tiffany, just wanted to say its looking really cool so far!!
You and RJR are very lucky to share this interest!! :)

No worries! Its nice that you guys are interested in my progress!!
Just bribe your "better half" with a boob plate... it worked for me :)

I tried that once. My wife just looked at me funny, felt my forehead whilst asking me if I felt alright. She kinda left me alone after I explained that the "boob-plate" was for her to wear, not me.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm late for my doctors apointment for my "barking issues"... stupid mailman. ;)

Now the arena jet pack is a favorite of mine, I have to admit the bikerscout back is pretty clever. I bet it would look awesome if you went through with it. :cheers

Hey!!! I'm looking for a pattern so I can make my vest. I have some vinyl and I wanted the vest to be form-fitting. Do any of you know of any websites/tutorials that might make this easier? Thanks!!
