Okay as i promised here are the first pictures of the process! (I started it 2 days ago)

First i built a base that i can sculpt on from cardboard, newspaper and duc ttape.

Then I covered the whole thing with a few layers of plaster strips:

Then I started to build up the ruff shape of the helmet with oil based clay:

Right now it's ruffly the size that i want but Im going to make it slightly bigger
so it would fit most of the people well. Im going to buy some more clay on the weekend
and start to build up the visor and nose area so stay tuned!

Well I did not destroyed it I use it as a decoration :D Well I already like this technique more its faster easier and way more accurate. I want to finsih it before the holidays because I will go back to my country for 3-4 weeks and with this sculpting method I can proceed really fast.

Okay I have done quite a few things in the past week and im almost done with the sculpting. Still needs smoothing here and there and the right side of the face area needs some corrections but its going to be finished soon.

Soon I'm going to finish the sculpting (Don't have much time on my hand but I'm trying to be fast as possible) then I'll make the first cast, some patching up some sanding etc. then I'll move on to the final cast. Maybe 2 weeks from now.

The little triangle. I cut out the triangle (about the right size) and i used it to carve out the clay then I used the same piece and embedded it in to the sculpture so I didnt had to mess around in that teeny-tiny hole with sculpting tools.

Okay the back was tricky because of two things
1. There is no actual reference of the back of this bucket so I just went with the other Mcquarrie concepts design.
2. This if my first time trying to carve these little thin lines ( but I think it turned out good anyways )

Aaaand finally! It is (99%) done! (Some smoothing here and there but not much)
I can't even believe it :D Im so excited to move on to making the mold, which is going to happen next weekend!
