Marrow Sun's Custom Progress

Right on man!
Taking time off isnt really a bad thing. You can come back to it all refreshed. Gonna send ya a pm shortly too.

I really don't think i can add much else that hasn't already been said above mate, but i will add this;

The first time i sgined up to these boards, years ago under a different name, that shocktrooper helmet you built was the best thing i had ever seen, and prompted me to try to make my own helmet one day. Well, three years later, i've had a clone commander Bly, Anakin Skywalker, And a 3rd age Gondorian Infantry soldier my Dream of a Mandalorian is finally here. With the help with a couple of people it is finally coming to be a reality, and i felt an immense amount of pride when someone likened my helmet to a Marrow Sun as far as uniqueness goes.

You sir are a credit to the entire costuming world, and your work inspires us all to do better and greater things with our own projects.(y)

Definitely count me as interested in one once you get around to casting it. About how much do you think I should save? I'm looking forward to adding it to the list of helmet's I'll eventually have for my custom Mando to switch between (along with switching some of the accessories and armor parts).

And as far as the detailed greeblies go, I think that: a) neither of the original Fett helmets had them, and b) let people add their own. I've already got a drawerful of stuff that I might be able to use for that purpose...

Hey there one more question on how you create these great helmets.

I noticed some vent holes on the right cheek plate area. Do you dremal these out? carve?

It is the small details like this which make your helmets fantastic.

The slots on the cheeks are done with a dremel bit on my drill press. I set up a straight edge and machined in the slots into plastic. Then I cut out the area on both sides of the helmet and replaced them with the pieces I made up. Bondo,sand,prime,...Repeat:)

All I can say hell yeah id like a shab'la copy!! just let us know when youre ready to crank them out! Im putting some pennies aside for the day you're ready! That is straight up raw creativity and love of the art. you have to appreciate the craftsmanship going into this one. You've topped yourself already and it isnt even finished. Its screaming Mando'ade of the old republic to me. Its beautiful, theres no other word for it.

Kandosii job! I have to agree with MandoSniper - looks like one of the old. It even reminds me partly of that worn by Rohlan Dyre

Again, stunning job. Don't give that one up... ever!

August 29th Well I think I'm about done the bucket now. All there is left to do now is a day of sanding, primer and the odd detail adjustment. I should have the helmet molded by the end of the weekend. Then more armor pieces to create:).
Here is the back. It still needs some more sanding and a bit of bondo here and there.

That is simply beautiful. It's been said before but you truly are an inspiration.

I also think the dark colors, with the lens from goro which I think will be more of a blood redish (is he the one who re-did a MR Clone helm?) will look amazing.

If you have an idea of pricing please pm me :)
