Mandalorian Death Watch helmet WIP

I've been watching this thread for a while, cuz I like to see the work of comic illustrators made real. When I read the comic, I thought the Death Watch group's helmets seemed like a silly variation of the typical Mandalorian helmet, and an unnecessary one at that. You've heard it for weeks now: you've done fantastic work here. But, in addition to making something real from two dimensional images, you've made this concept cool. I'm really liking the look of this bucket, now, when before your work the design in the comic just wasn't doing anything for me. Well done.

Happy New Year TDH!

While I haven't had time to work on the helmet since a few days after my last post, I do have two progress pics to show. The first is the sanded first priming of the cheeks with bondo spot putty smoothing out some of the dips. The second is the reprimed cheeks, which are ready for a second smoothing since there are still some noticeable dips in them.

Just stumbled onto this thread and LOVE your take on the DW helmet! I've wanted to do one of these myself but I don't think I could top your work.

Probably won't get to much on this particular build unless the guy who actually was making the helmet comes back to post.
