Other Bounty Hunter Klingon Mandalorian

Hussell

New Hunter
Hey, after Halloween a couple years back I picked up a sad looking Boba Fett helmet, I use to have pictures from when I first worked on it shortly after building, but I deleted them after I thought the helmet was lost after a move.
After I unearthed it I started to ponder what I was going to do with it, I knew I wanted to do a mash-up of sorts, I had just finished making a Imperial Klingon costume so I decided to keep going in that direction and created a Klingon Mandalorian helmet. I want to keep this going to use the Boba Fett armour templates and make them look like Klingon armour! Hopefully this works out!

Thankyou, that would be from a rubber seal spray I used as my base coat, also it helped the give the ridges (made of bonding puddy) the illusion of being made from the same material, help fill in little cracks to help give the impression of the piece was cased instead.
I spent a long time sanding the ridges to get them down to where I liked it, I was going for a Kelvin-timeline set of ridges, not quite there but I'm happy with how this part turned out so far, I'll have to do some weathering but I want to leave it to the end with everything is at this point

Here are some reference photos, for the rest of the costume. I am using Commander Kruge from The Search for Spock for this mash-up
I have a general idea of what I think I want it to look like, I plate to cut the Boba Fett plates from foam, paint brown (behind the grey vinyl seems to be a brown swede fabric) then layer vinyl over top.
If that doesn't work then I'll just use a thinner foam and in strips over top in grey, the collar plate and upper section of the back will be made the look like a smaller version of the Klingon shoulder cover
Cape I'll try to find a similar fabric and make the command pin on it for the pin it is fixed to the armour.
For the most part I kind my direction it's just seeing if it works

This is a replica of his distruper I own, as shown the top comes off that's where the batteries are kept, it is hollow inside and I want to build my own stock to add to it, I don't want to permanently alter the item, so I'd like to glue a magnet on the inside and put one in the base of the stock to hold it in place, and add a scope, probably do a mock up of the one off of the klingon sniper rifle The Undiscovered Country

Jet pack, will come last because I want to make it look like a Klingon Bird of Pray for it, maybe stretch out the core of the ship and shorten the wings so I don't catch on everything, I debated on doing a D7 Dattle Cruiser but Kruge had one of these in Search for Spock.

I have made Klingon Armour so I have a belt buckle I'll be using already, made it at the same time as my officer and TOS versions!

cut out extras for mistakes and if all goes well, my next project will be a normal Boba Fett costume for my wife

I was going to use actual vinyl when I first started this, but I am concerned about gluing it and how it would hold up long term, so I am using thin strips of foam, and folding the edge over like then they sew them together

build up date, while I am happy with the look I am no down with the hand painting these lines, I have to use a small brush head and it is a very slow process to begin with then I changed my mind of the colour and also I ran out of the paint I liked and couldn't find the exact same type again, so that means I would have to repaint some channels again for a third time

I have decided to just spray paint the plates and the strips separately and then glue them together, if hold seems to be an issues I'll just coat in a clear rubber spray for extra bonding
