That is first and foremost.
Whatever you do, do not buy on ebay, for anything Mando related.

right now i have 60 dollars, and my brother is getting ready for college so we are on a really tight budget so about 150 dollar budget

Nothing wrong with e-bay man.thats where I sell my armor.Please refrain from telling people not to shop there.As a matter of fact , a lot of reputable dealers like myself sell on the bay.

Well I wasn't refering to you, I was refering to one seller specifically, that makes armor, and does crappy custom work, and rips people off from it all.

Well use the search feature and take a look at gauntlets and helmets.
If you have to, you could get a Rubies Jango helmet, but if you have a little more money, you could get a Mystery bucket.

One thing I would strongly encourage you to do is SLOW DOWN!
You have definitely found the right place when it comes to putting together a Mandalorian costume ... but there is quite a bit of information and options you have in regards to putting this together. I suggest you use it. Don't jump to conclusions right away ... take your time and make researched decisions. Since you are on a tight budget, have a look around the different forums here on TDH as you'll find out you can put almost the entire costume together yourself.
When you have a question, use the search feature like The Clayster showed you. See what different forums come up as the question has probably already been answered at one point.

Dude,for 150 you dont need to use sports armor.
For a few reasons,
1.It still looks like sports gear,no matter how much you modify it.
2.Even modified,it brings down the whole look of the suit.
3.you can make a decent set of armor for under 15 dollars.
Heres my suit,made for only 150 dollars:
The armor is made from 3 trash cans,the rest is found or made items.
Even a mando on a discount can look good
P.S. I saw the bmx armor boba at c4,and i thought the cardboard one was better:facepalm

Actualy, sence not once person is in charge of what you should/shouldn't do, you should go ahead and put your costume together, the way you want to. I'm all for you using pads,etc. on your costume. I don't see whats wrong with using random stuff like that, sence it is a CUSTOM character, and isn't bound to a set of rules.
If you'd like to go a diffrent route for gauntlets, instead of buying Fett-esq. ones, you could do like a couple people have done, including myself, and use these - http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/showthread.php?t=20105
And as recommended above, you might want to look into buying either a trashcan to cut your Mando armor out of, or some sintra, which is expanded PVC sheet to cut it out of. You can purchase sintra here - www.usplastics.com

I know when I was first beggining, I was your age, and had a terrible time saving up money, but your costume will look better with the better quality of products you use. So I'd recommend trying to save up for one, but its up to you.
