Input on a helmet design/build

I am current in the process of building my first helmet and well I am at a cross roads.I started out wanting to build a At-St helmet but the more I think about my ugly mug needs to be hidden from view if I am to wear this outfit(whatever comes of it) out in public.
I already have the dome and sides formed and it looks good.I had thought of back tracking and building a Fett helmet but there are enough "fetts" out there and one less wont hurt.
I have been admiring the work of Commander Voltaire and his Commander Bacara outfit. So I was thinking this weekend of building a helmet to have the face of a Mandalorian heltmet with the rest being that of the At-St helmet I have so far.Yes I fully admit I am taking inspiration from Commander Voltaires helmet.
I have tried to put something to show my concept so please excuse the poor quality.

Please remember these are poor "photoshoped" images.I am going to try to makethe helmet NOT look as cheap as theses photos are.
The sides of the helmet I am building would not flair at much as the Commander Bacara helmet but are not as straight as the At-St helmet, sort of in between.
My idea that this would be a Mandalorian solider whom is part of a armored divsion.
So I leave to you to share any and all input.Good or Bad ,just please be nice.

could be very cool. I would bring the Bacara part down far enough to end where the visor begins. In other words: cover up the red painted area above the visor.

i really think its a bad idea , but ived been proven wrong b4. try this. keep a mando stalk and rf , keep colors white on the mando parts ,and maybe take ears off , just ideas bro.the first clone troopers( attack of the clones) have more of a mando look, so maybe you could get more ideas on pictures from those troopers. also video games

I think a better idea would be to build the mushroom flair part onto a normal mando helmet instead of chopping up a clone helmet. I think you'd have a better chance at good customization that way and having a more distinct look.

building that flair is actually ridiculously hard though. It's a pretty thin barrier that I believe tapers as it goes down, and cutting sintra (or whatever) to get the right curves and using enough bondo to make it look good and still be secure would be tricky. Bacara's helmet is essentially a regular clone helmet with that to part put on it and not a regular clone helmet with the flair built on so I think that if you do do it then you should continue as you are in the pics. Also, the helmet kits for bacara come in two pieces with the bottom part of the helmet separate from the dome and flair so that makes it all that easier since you wouldn't have to cut up a clone helmet. It still would be expensive though

So I work today during lunch I thought I would draw out what I am thinking since my photo shop skills well...suck.I know and am sure I need to do some work on the portions and dimensions to make everything work together but here you go for further review and input on what I am working on.

I honestly don't like the idea. I think in the end run it would turn out looking too much like a Snowtrooper with a T-visor.

The proportions just aren't made to occupy the same helmet.

I understand and have thought the same. But hey it is just a fun experiment to see "what if ?"
Who knows it might just look interesting once built. And if not and it looks like **** well.....I am sure a cut off wheel will help make it right ;)

Hehehe I just noticed...Ths is my 420th post ;)

I was thinking about this and the idea that it will end up looking like a snowtrooper with a T-visor, whereas Commander Bacara looks pretty sweet. I think the main difference it the relative lack of detail on a Fett helmet face. I would bet that if you try this and it does not look good with just the two helmets put together that you do a little creative modding and add something like air hoses to the Fett helmet to make it more 'busy' and interesting.

I have to agree withthe input on how the end result might look after studing my drawing and feeling it would look "cheesie" so with that I have decided to scratch this idea and look into putting together this armor, starting with the helmet.

After doing research on how maybe to improve on my idea I came across this charter Canderous Ordo.
