Custom Mandolorean Armor - First Timer!

TwistedFett

New Hunter
Hello Everyone! New guy here. I am looking to make some custom mando armor. I have a bunch of ideas stirring up upstairs. The only problem I am having is figuring out how to do the helmet. I have been doing some research on the helmet like Rubies and Don Post Helmets. I know Rubies isn't that great and DP 95 was the best way to go but they aren't around anymore. Is there anyone that reproduces the similar DP fiberglass helms or have the schematics on making a helm? I know there is the cardboard way or just buying a helm and re-customizing it. I would really like to know if someone reproduces the DP style helms with fiberglass.

I'm going to start some rough sketches on the ideas I have and will post to get everyones opinions.

Thanks all

It's unlikely that you'll find a recast DP95 as it's generally frowned upon to recast, though if you are lucky there may be a few people attempting it on Ebay. If you check out the Wizard of Flight templates in the boba helmet section, there are blueprints to make your own, I also believe there are tutorials for using the templates to build your helmet.

As for resin/fiberglass helmets, it all depends on the size you want, 1:1 helmets there is Gypsyboy, Sgt Fang, Boba Maker and myself, all with differing creation methods and prices.

There is also the Jango 2 piece which a lot of people swear by, as long as you're prepared to do the mods if your ultimate intention is to join the mercs.

Hope that helped.

All right!. I will do a little more research on what you told me.

The Jango Fett 2 piece; is that from Rubies? How much would you charge for a FiberGlass helmet and what templated do you go off of?
