Apollo's Weathering Tutorial

Hey! Well, I'm trying some of this but my metal coat is an acrylic lacquer. Once it is dry (after a week or more) is there a limit to the kind of primer I can put back over it?

I thought I would just use automotive primer like I did underneath it.

This is my efforts at the Rub'n'buff application. It looks amazing. So realistic!
