2nd set of trash can armor

I love the light Adonian! A: where you get it? B: how'd you attach it?

The blod spatters are kic***s. Is that paint on your visor? How you getting that off?
 
haven't installed visor yet, thank goodness :lol: The light was an energiser light I got from the Wal, I paid 11 or so for it, it has the visor clip (hat visor) on it, so I left an opening on the left ear to slide it on and off so later I can use a different setup if I find something better, but that bad boy is bright!

Ok, I got a PM from someone, wont say who, but he did point out that the wifey really does need to have a gift for X-mas, and I agree, but she and I usually get eachother iTunes cards, so that'll be one, I did get her 2 little rings, now for a necklace.

Next I need to get another one of those acrylic photo frames to cut for the visor, I got the blue mirror tint in the mail, so almost ready for the finishing touches on the bucket, then really get down to work on the soft parts.

I got an idea for the boots... I have an angular trash can that I can cut to cover the laces like a hard boot cover, I'll get a pic posted soon.

Yeah I didn't think about my boots when I cut out my shin guards, but as they are a bit on the big size, I'm thinking that they will become thigh plates, and I'll make something else to cover my combat boots.

Ok I guess that paint is on the back of the helmet, that's a relief! I've been bouncing around ideas for how do do a light on my bucket (I've always loved that about the RC buckets) and I might just do it that way, we'll see what I can find/rig.

yeah Ado'buir I agree that u must have a gift for your Cyar'ika on Christmas... as for the mando... the only thing I ask u use from my sketch is the blood mark on the bucket... it's a trophy from your first kill, done in the Predator fasion but I like it enough I'm going to add it to my bucket! I may not do it in blood, but I'm going to carve it into the top right side of the helmet above the Jaig Eyes.
 
Try radioshack...they have all the stuff you need for a light kit. In fact, shoot me a PM and once I get back from Cali (DSi is not the best platform for internet use...:p) I'll walk you through installing a light kit.

you can also use an EL wire kit to make a light around your visor.. I plan on doing that to my Snow in turquoise.

can you do a close up sketch of the marking so I can make it look like the one you'll be putting on your bucket, so we'll be in the related clan.
 
Well since I've already completely jack Ad'ika's thread...

Aden: Thanks! I'll look into that!

Adonian: I'm not planning on putting lights in my vizor (or anywhere on my armor for that matter) since I'me going for stealth, I just want the light on the side for tactical purposes, blinding enemies, finding blown of limbs etc.
 
Ok, another very minor update:
Mini-Mando bucket 85% size got slathered in resin inside and out, and the dome and cheek's got a nice coat of Bondo.
This one will be made into a display piece for my oldest.
I will need to make a 90% bucket to fit my twins and a 95% for my oldest.

Me either... aside from the couple of tactical lights. One one the buy'ce one on either the left or right gaunt so that when sighting down the sidearm, it will be in the six o'clock position. Not sure which arm yet tho... I'll have to use my new arm band (made specially for tactical flashlights, 1 of the cool goodies from work) to see which side works best for me.
 
hey adonian u can always use that mini-bucket as a display version of your fullsize... u know like those gentle giant mini busts

I was thinking of that, but it'd need work on the cheeks to put in the gills, I'll ask my 9 year old since it's gonna be in his room.
 
lol I want a display version of my bucket! I have to get it first tho...lol A'd'ika's workin' hard trying to get me to fix up a final sketch to work from... I've just been so busy
 
Kal'ika: A light on the gaunt will be interesting, I look forward to seeing how you do that.

Adonian: Sweet! I'm jealous of your kid, I want a mando helmet for my room......on second thought as much as Nomad has gotten into this I don't think she'd go for that...maybe in the man cave or the work shop!
