I have been looking around here for info on what kind of wood used on the rotj version ee-3. I have a melon lab studios kit I'm starting on and I want to replace the resin cast one that came with it to the right wood one.
first I'll look around for wood stock if I cant find on then I will have to attempt to make it make it myself.

Im fairly certain the ROTJ stock was a cast piece and the D bracket cast into it even. If you look at the ROTJ blaster gallery you can see what I mean.

Yes, F4R is correct. The ROTJ weapon is a resin cast itself so if you're looking to faithfully recreate that then your resin stock is good to go however if you simply want a wooden stock then you should ask Woodman.

I thought that ee3 used the wooden stock from the Webley just painted over with some grayish color. The cast one I have is heavy and I don't want all that weight on the dring so I figured that a wood one would be a lot lighter.

The whole thing looks to be resin except for the scope. Same with the blaster on the Stat Wars Identities ROTJ blaster which is not the same as the one extensively shown in the gallery.

The EE3 in ESB was a wooden stock....they made casts of it to make the ROTJ blaster from my understanding they borrowed the EE3 and returned it. There are hollow resin stocks which are foam filled....maybe stormrider or sidewinder do them that way?
