Iron Man 3d model for Pepakura

This is really cool work! how are you constructing it? I only ask because i have some very large CNC equipment suitable for carving 3d models,an extensive background in moldmaking and casting and i just bought a roto casting machine. If you want to produce this costume or any other for that matter, i`d love to get involved.I realize you might think i just want to rip off your model, but that is most definitely not the case. The reality is there is way more money in other manufacturing areas with this kind of equipment.
I do this because i love it and the cool projects i can get involved in.
pm if you`re intrigued. I`ll show some of the other work i`ve done and give you references to check out as to my honesty.

Again cool model.I was toyomg with the idea of cutting the turbosquid model just to see how it comes out, but i`d rather work directly with a creator.

I am i right in thinking you made this out of paper or cardboard and resin.

i wouldn`t have thought that was possible!

I can do silicone cast gloves etc as well.

sorry if i`m getting a little excited, but that suit is pretty impressive.

If it was more interesting to you, you could send me a random part in 3d and i could cut, mold and cast it then send it back to you.
This is precisely why i bought this gear.
I make signs and displays to pay the bills, but i have no love for it.

.

I haven't actually started cutting and "pepping" the armor yet, but yes, it is intended to be printed onto cardstock, glued together, and coated in resin and fiberglassed.

Just click the download link if you want the file.

I'm almost finished with the chest/back, but I am swamped with "real job" work at the moment, so no updates for a little while. I'll get back to it as soon as I can.

i would need the original obj. file for cnc cutting.
I did a test on another model that i got from turbosquid.
This is really just for testing purposes.
i want to see how accurately the machine will cut and how i can finish it.
Currently i cut half the model in high density foam, then made a plaster mold.
then i melted out the foam with acetone. As soon as i have the mold cleaned, i'll fiberglass it ,break the mold off and do the cleanup with bondo, etc in the usual way.i'll post pics .

Hi doubleh, I´m interesting too in the thing that you do with your machine. I have a pepakura iron man complete armor that I download from a guy and want to know if you join me to try to do quality and no so expensive armors to sell to the fans. email me if you want to morfeus4@telefonica.net. I live in spain.

Progress? Not much, I've been tweaking here and there mostly. Although, I did start the forearm.
I'm still working on the elbow joint area. It will rotate inside the forearm piece. I also need to tweak the lower bicep to make it line up and make a good range of motion.

More updates are on the way, but I start a new job today, so no promises on how soon.

EDIT: Forearm/handplate done. I decided the forearm parts may not fit once resined and bondo'ed, so I left it as seperate parts. They can be easily joined since the area where they meet is flat.
Get it Here.

The model is complete and ready, so if you want it, send me a pm with your email address and paper size (Letter/A4).

I would be willing to trade, pm me with something to offer.
I spent a lot of time working on this. I have given away other models for free over on the 405th (Halo costuming) forums.
hi sounds like you have to do this wonder if I have it looks like my address is jenriquez@bcb.com.mx

and I would love in letter size

thank you very much
:cheers:D

sir, how can i download your pepakura? it is very nice i'd like to make one for my nephew. he has a cancer and i just like him to be happy before he... you know. i am from the philippines. thanks!

Very nice work, Truly genius. I would like to get the helm piece if you don't mind. Send me an email so I may also donate to your cause.

Thank you so much.

Tim

I forgot to tell everyone here that my helmet is now FREE! Thanks to all that purchased it, but due to massive amounts of email and pm's I'm offering the file to everyone for free.
download the A4 size here.
download the Letter size here.

Also, I have kind of abandoned building more on the Iron Man models for now. I do have an even more accurate I.M. helmet model in the works. The pep model will include hinge patterns for the face and chin, as well as the articulation on the back of the neck as seen in the concept art.

Wow, fantastic work. I have access to a Sideshow 1:1 scale Mark III and I've also studied David's 3D file. His is based on a scan of a toy head, and it doesn't quite have the right movie look to it. Yours is a lot closer to the Sideshow look. Keep up the good work.

coudl u please send me the file so i can have it? i m ready to pay as long as it is not costly

? I find that strange.. You mention you boght one of our suits, but not from us, then your asking for pepakura files...
If you got one of our suits then its pretty expensive.. And then you mention the same people who sold you our suit also make motorized helmets ...
Sorry i just find this a bit strange...
