help with clay and silicone

Ok so I made a sculpt out of klean klay and brushed on some silicone from j-greer and it didn't cure how can i get it off? can you please help me?

It didn't cure at all? How much catylist was added? How old was the catylist? How much time has passed?

If it didn't cure at all, then it woudl eventually run off the sculpt onto the table, leaving only a thin film remnant. If it partially cured, then you can pour fressh stuff on and it will cure beneath the fresh layer.

My guess is that the mix was off ratio, or th ecat was old, as it decomposes faster than the resin (B side)

It cured a little but its tacky like bubble gum, the ratio I just realized was a little off, but will it cure if I put a coat on over it?

P.S. sorry, i'm a total noob

It will cure enough to peel it off, but not to contiune the mold. Youll need to start over.

Its always better to err on more catalyst. Not much more, but if you have a scale thats not perfectly acurate, go just over.

I dont mean to hijack the thread, but since we are kinda on this topic, are the prop builder´s books (casting and mask-making) a good start to get into this sort of stuff?

Yes, they are.

But reading the info on the products will give you a real solid understanding on what inhibits, helps, cure times, problems and cleanup.

MSDS are they called?
