Vult's Jango Build

Great build Vult! Can't wait to see this in person!

How does the helmet fit on you? I'm looking at possibly building a Jango, but have worries my big dome won't fit in the helmets being offered.

Bumping this thread so people who are looking for flight suits can see some of the pictures I took of my Arkady Jango suit.

Sorry for not seeing these questions earlier. The collar seems approximately like the standard flightsuit size, I use a blue neck gator most of the time. The grappling dart reference pic is in the templates for Jango here on the boards from Wizardoflight. I have tried several different plastics, but they have all broken so I am still in search of the perfect one. A thin, yet rigid type of EV foam may work?

Hey Azrok,

This is one of my pet peeves about RnB that I wasn't going to bring up, but since you ask me directly I will speak to it. Mind you that this is just my personal opinion based on my experience so far with the 10+ events I have done (including a couple 9+ hour days in kit). I would stick to the CC and 0000 steel wool and avoid the RnB as much as possible. The only place I have RnB on my entire kit is the gauntlets because I purchased them already completed that way. I have found that no matter how old, dry or polished the RnB feels to the touch, it still rubs off my gauntlets and gets on my vest and ammo pouches and it is not exactly easy to get it off leather. I am constantly trying to remind myself not to rest my gauntlets on my ammo pouches, but it is hard not to do it when you get tired.

I have to admit the jury is still out for me on how long the CC will last though. I carry my kit around in the largest Stanley box with foam in the bottom, but the plates are getting pretty scratched up just touching each other in side the box. I considered using cloth or foam to protect them between layers, but I fear that it won't all fit inside the boxt then. I have to carry my helmet seperately as it it right now. I would be very interested in hearing what other people are doing to protect theirs while they travel around between events.

You can take old t-shirts and cut them up to make pouches out of them for your armor pieces. It is a light weight and compact way to protect armor from scratching each other when stacking them. For the back armor you can use a ful full shirt and just sew up the neck and sleeves.

2 years later... the old armor is hanging in there great and the damage just makes it look better. I did a parade yesterday in 90+ degree heat and man was it hot! Seeing myself on the 5 o'clock news and I'm starting to think I may need to re-dye my flight suit though.

Of note- it's good to know that Jango Fett is still really popular with the young kids. Adults will still get confused and call us Boba, but man the kids know and love Jango still. I took a stack of my cards and ran out 1/2 way through the parade.

I am no longer trooping or doing any Cosplay so this kit is now up for sale. I also have a Cruzer gauntlet kit I picked up off BKBT that I was going to redo the gauntlets with.

Edit: It is now posted in the Cargo Hold.
