Range Finder question

Hey all, got a question....
I was looking at some pics of the Jango helmet, and noticed something on the rangefinder. It looks like some kind of writing like aurebesh(sp?) or something. Anyone know what that is? I can only see it in a few pics from the Paris exhibit....

Just curious because I never even noticed this till now. Thanks!

(sorry to whoever it was that took this pic- I have no idea who you are, but I cropped it)

That's interesting, I've never seen that before. My Aurebesh is a little rusty though.

I wonder why that hasnt been noticed before. Its a huge section thats not blue. Perhaps we should find more ref pics, because its obviously the language of star wars. Plus, this detail must have been added after filming, because it would have stood out like an elephant in a field of mice.

(Perhaps it could be Mr. Morrison's name in aurebesh as a "signature")

I'll try to translate that right now...

EDIT:
I couldn't identify a single character, some of them look Japanese.

The writing kinda reminded me of the stuff writen on Vader's chest box. Looks a bit similar. I guess that's not aurebesh.:facepalm

I thought it could've been added after filming too, but don't know why. Maybe it's just on the dented version.....

Not to be a kill-joy, but if you turn the picture upside down, it looks like simple numerals... "313.61.7 (or 2)". Possibly just a catalog number for the collection, placed in what someone thought was an inconspicuous place...

Hmmm, you're probably right!
There's some other tag on the helmet I would've thought would be that though.

Oh well, didn't even think it could be a simple number.

*looks all sad* I'm almost sorry I looked at my screen from the wrong angle. It would have been so much cooler if it HAD been something in Aurebesh.;)

Doesn't matter. It's just another thing for the accuracy buffs to add
