Pinface's Jango Fett Costume WIP

I'll see what I can do..!

I just wan't to inform you that it's a change that this gauntlet does NOT co-operate with the metal pieces provided by Dark Side. The idea was to make this model just for me, and to make the metal pieces by myself aswell.
The model itself is not 100% accurate too, so if you want a more accurate piece you should maybe contact Cruzer or similar vendors.

With that said just contact me through PM if you guys are still interested. :)

Can you share the STL. files for the gauntlets?

Please! Lol

Very interesting thread, especially the rubnbuff work, I forgot how realistic that stuff can come out.

Hopefully monoprice releases their new lineup of printers soon, I'm really looking forward to getting into 3D. This thread just has me itching for it.

Thanks Grimstuff! I'm currently wielding the Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus, and it's doing the job fairly well I must say. There's always a little tinkering with setup and such, but I recommend it as a beginners printer :)
(Not too expensive if you would want to advance further down the line with another printer).
I was pretty newborn into the printing community when I started this build, it's a redo-relearn process, but boy is it satisfying!

Hey guys, quick question

I wan't to make it as simple and easy as possible when it comes to ordering the paint for the bucket.
I live in Sweden and here we don't have the Krylon and Rust-oleum brands.

SO, this is my suggestion. The 4th from the right (center row) for the Krylon and the 3rd from the right (center row) for the Rust-Oleum? Not quite sure about the Rust-Oleum

Can you get RAL colors? I've seen in another thread mmarley using RAL 5000 and 5015 for the helmet and they looked really good. Are those available in Sweden?

Yeah those colors should work. The toughest part is not matching the colors but finding colors that are close and still interact with each other the right way. It is amazing how subtle differences make huge differences. But those RAL colors work well together. Not perfect but very good.

Yeah, I agree Mullreel. I think these colors will do just fine, especially wallet wise when I don't have to pay ridiculous shipping costs

Yea, I'm needing to make a ROTJ boba fett ammo pounches to, do you know where I can get templates that I can download and cut out?

I don't know a lot about ROTJ Boba, but there must be some templates on the Boba Fett costume threads, no doubt about it. Just do a quick search and I'm sure you will find something.

Updates!

A little progress on the right gauntlet, not far from finished.

One of the blaster is nearly finished aswell, just a little weathering and screws left on the agenda! Comparison pics of the regular Rubies blaster.

Exciting news denters!

Got my Wolverine boots a while back, been working on the armor. Also attached the straps on the sides.

I also decided to go on a dented BKBT helmet from Cruzer. This was a great choice, instead of going with my 3D-printed helmet!
Arrived a few days back!

Comparison pic of the 3D-printed and the BKBT. Big differences, but a really fun and rewarding process of trying to make one for yourself! But as stated above, the BKBT helmet is going to be the frontier in this WIP.
