Can someone post some pics of thier LED setup for left gaunt

I'm getting ready to start hooking mine up, but have no idea how. Thanks.

I don't have any kind of diagram, but it's pretty simple to do.
I know Arturo made one, I'm sure he'll post it as soon as he sees this.

Yup,
Seekers got a pic floating around somewhere. I went searching, but could not find it. I could use it too...

It's an old Atari 2600 power switch I think. Huh, wish I'd have kept mine now. Good luck finding one (cheap anyway). Thanks for the link Seeker!

I've checked eBay, anyone got any homemade gauntlets they want to sell?

Be patient. It's best to get to know the other members first and get acquainted before jumping in.

Ah, get to know, schmet to know.

I'd like to have a Jango costume by Halloween, and I'm already closing in on the armor and a helmet via eBay.

I've got a flight suit, I can buy the boots, belts, blasters and vest.

So, essentially, all I'm missing is gauntlets and a jet pack...which is where all you wonderful people come in.

I've got some misceallaneous gauntlet inquiries:

-Has anyone used the foam disk-shooting Jango toy as part of their gauntlets? I know it's not a full encompassing gauntlet, but it could be grafted or attached on top of a pre-made gauntlet.

-Do most people use the "clam" type of gauntlet, with the ablility to open and close the gauntlet around the arm? Or do people slide them on? Any prefereces?

Personally, I'd never use the toy gauntlet. Maybe for a child's costume, MAYBE.
The majority of gauntlet kits are clam shell. I attached a continuous hinge to mine, like you see in the Jango pic. You can buy those at Home Depot.

Why would you advocate against the toy gauntlet?

Size and accuracy to start with. It's built for a child and not screen accurate. For a child's suit, sure. It could be trainer gauntlets, like the lightsabers the kids used in AOTC.

I just stopped by target and that blue light hose looks pretty good but a bit too blue. If it could be gutted and darkened, it'd look pretty close.

I was dying my jumpsuit with blue dye (the first attempt came out too purple) and before dumping out the dye (Rit Royal Blue) I decided, on a whim, to toss in my roll of hose for a while. It was the kind you get at Home Depot- clear, with the criss-cross pattern of reinforcing threads running through it. After about three hours, I pulled it out, and it had taken the dye beautifully! I rinsed it out well, and hung it to dry. After it had dried, I took a wet white rag to it, to see how permanent it would be. I scrubbed it for a few seconds, and the rag didn't stain a bit. The color is too bright a blue, of course, but I'll add some black and throw it in for another soak. Pictures to come.
