My finished MOW Jango Jet Pack

I think thats the best Jango Classic pack I've ever seen, including the screen used one!

Top effort on the paint job too.

Cheers!

Wow, thanks for the huge compliment! When I get around to it, I'll post some pictures of how I attached the rocket.

Thanks again for the compliments. With the renewed interest in my paintjob, I'll share some of my assembly with you.

The harness system is hooked up to two door handle pulls that I JB welded to the bottom then fiberglassed over to make them even more secure. It doesn't look like much, but its got it where it counts. ;)

The rocket screws on with some PVC fittings I found at Home Depot.

so fox, you dont have a waist strap for your harness? also how did you rig up the part coming from your vest? did you actually cut holes in your vest?

i see that post and that looks great...but how do you keep the bottom of the jet pack secured to that harness so it doesnt flop around...i must be missing something...i see the clips that come over the front of the shoulders and through the vest, clipping to the top of the jet pack...but how is the bottom secured?

the bottom isn't secured right now. I'm taking a wait and see approach. Wearing it by itself, it doesn't really flop around. If it becomes a problem I can always add a 3rd strap or some velcro directly to the backplate.

your pack fiberglass or abs? mine is abs and i fear it would be too light and flop around...i thought about some kind of third strap, but some strategically placed velcro may be a good idea too...i thought the actual costume had a third strap?

Here's the complete color list:

Blue: Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Deep Blue, lightly misted with Rust-oleum Royal Blue.
Yellow: Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Marigold, misted with Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Real Orange and Rust-Oleum Leather Brown.
Burgundy: Rust-Oleum American Accents Garnet Red, misted with Rust-Oleum Leather Brown.

Everything was clear coated with Krylon Satin Clearcoat.
What to do, what to do. Rust-Oleum doesn't carry American Accents Garnet Red and Leather Brown. Could anyone help me? Thanks.

It's way too bright. It might be useable if you went extremely heavy with the leather brown but I recommend starting with a much darker red.
