March Cruzer Jango holster & gauntlet runs!

Cruzer

Well-Known Hunter
Ok guys, I have a small window of opportunity to make a few props for people with my Easter vacation starting in exactly 1 week. I have an entire week in which I can spend whole days working on stuff and have even obtained the "necessary authorization" from my better half.;)

I'll do two small runs of 5 holster assemblies and 5 gauntlet kits, since I've had a handful of people requesting both. I know I had mentioned before that I wouldn't do any more gauntlets till April, but I'd hate for people to have to wait that long if there are more immediate needs...so I've broken down.

Right up front I will tell those interested that there is a small price increase in my parts. The quick explanation is it's the result of a decrease in the amount of my "free time", and an increase in the amount of time "filling orders" is taking me away from my family.

I really didn't want to start any new runs until after the end of the previous gauntlet run, however, that run should be finishing up between this weekend and next. And, if I'm going to take full advantage of my time off, I have to begin ordering supplies for the new runs asap so they're in hand by the time my vacation begins.

Here's the preliminary order info. It's based on a first come first serve basis. Later, I will contact those on the holster run with specifics such as measurements needed, color preference, etc.

Prices:
  1. Jango holsters - $250
  2. Jango Gauntlet Kit (shells and parts) - $250
  3. Jango Hardware Kit - $30
  4. Missile - $25
Payment info:
  • My paypal addy is Lorenzo_Cruz1@msn.com
  • USPS Postal Money Orders are preferred if you want to mail a payment. PM me for my mailing addy.
Shipping info:
  • USPS Priority Shipping within the U.S. is included.
  • PM me for any International shipping quotes.
Any questions, let me know.

Thanks(y)
Cruzer

One set of your finest Jango Gauntlets please.:)

Pardon my ignorance but does the gauntlet kit come with the hardware and the missle or do I need to add the hardware and missle price to the gauntlet price?

If I can recall correctly, the gauntlet kit is everything but the hardwear(hinges, screws, and I think hoses). So the flamethrower and missle are part of the kit.

Thanks Satxer.

I divided the various parts needed to make a complete pair of Jango gauntlets into three separate kits: Gauntlet kit (shells and parts), Hardware kit (hoses, LED, switches, pushbuttons, screws, hinges, etc.), and Missile. I do it for three different reasons: because some members already have much higher quality missiles from other members (Dark-Side, Psberretta, RussRep, etc.), some may wish to gather the hardware for themselves or have already started doing so, and lastly to break down the price for those budgeting. I only charge exactly what it costs me for the hardware kit because it takes little to no labor on my part except for the hose dying and gathering everything. Likewise, I charge minimal for the missile since the mold was loaned to me to use by friends and in my opinion isn't close in quality to the types of missiles you'd get from those members who do excellent aluminum work.

I'll post a few pics in the first post so it's clear.(y)

Cruzer,

Put me down for a Holster set! Paypal will go out as soon as my Bank account sends the money over. =P

Thanks a Million, in Advance!

Cruzer - payment for Jango holster assembly sent via paypal...

Currently contemplating, if I should go for a set of gauntlets also... very tempting...

Clear on it now, thanks folks. I have added an additional $55.00 to my earlier order... "You've got cash." Another step closer to finished.:)

Hey, Cruzer - paypal payment for a set of gauntlets plus hardware kit sent!

I've tried to contact Dark-Side via PM about offering an run of his machined parts for this March run of your gauntlets... no answer so far. If anybody else on the March gauntlet list needs the machined detailing-parts aswell, please let's try to figure out, how we can get Dark-Side to do a short run for us?

Cheers - marcus

I chatted briefly with Dark-Side maybe a day ago and he said it is not cost efficient to make only 1 or 2 sets of something because of the cost of the materials when purchased in small amounts, and the time it takes to set up the computerized lathe. :facepalm

What if all 5 people on the gauntlet list would be in for a set? I'm just taking a wild guess here, that the other 4 people on the gauntlet list will eventually also need the Dark-Side parts?

I guess, my question to the other people on the March gauntlet list would be? Would you guys put in an order w/ Dark-Side? Provided that 5 copies each is enough to even bother w/ a run?

I for one would love to get the machined detailing pieces from Dark-Side... his stuff looks better and more accurate than some of the other options I've seen out there...

Cheers - marcus

hey marcvs66,
sorry for the dalay answer...:facepalm

No, problem...

ok dudes, you can find my list and prices here...
http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/showthread.php?t=23324

let me know how many of you are interested and I'll see what i can do..
I'll try to do my best!:)

OK - here's what I/marcvs66 would love to get from you - provided we can get enough people interested to make a run of these pieces feasable:

1) 1 set knee dats

2) 1 kit right gauntlet mini darts (4 darts)

3) 1 kit right dart kit (aluminun spike + 3 small plastic wings painted with R&B)

4) 1 kit right gauntlet frontal mini spikes (2 spikes)

5) 1 left gauntlet metal missile (4 metal pieces)

6) 1 kit left gauntlet flamethrower nozzles (2 aluminun nozzles)

7) 1 it right gauntlet nozzles for hose fittings (2 aluminun nozzles)

I'll basically buy from Dark-Side, whatever he's able to offer... his pieces look extremely nice...

Cheers - marcus

Update:
Yesterday I purchased all of the leather for the holster run. I hope to get started on these two runs by mid-week.(y)
