Helmet Vendors/Sizing

New Hunter
Greetings, all. I am a proud member of the 501st CT Garrison (Connsquad, represent!!! :) TK/SL 7832. My first costume was an ESB Darth Vader followed by an ANH Stunt Trooper. Next, I'm looking for a project that'll be long-term, so I've decided to take the plunge and pursue a Jango costume...mostly because of the cool factor, but I also suspect there will be a fair amount of painting and assembly involved which I find to be tons of fun. That said, I've been lurking around this site for a bit, but wanted to introduce myself and ask the experts some specific questions.

First and foremost, I consider the "face" of Jango to be a major focal point/"make or break" element of the costume. I don't want to proceed any further until I feel comfortable purchasing a helmet that I know will work with my size and retain a high level of screen accuracy.

SO my question is, what would you all recommend for a 5' 11'' individual with a SNUG hat size of 7 1/4? From what I hear and read, ASOK helmets seem like a great choice and are of screen lineage (which I find very appealing)...HOWEVER, I also understand that Temuera Morrison is actually 5' 7'' which makes me wonder if that would look too small in proportion to the rest of my body.

Thoughts? Insights? Suggestions?

I am 5'10 and a medium build. The Asok works great for me, and Asok is exceptional to work with.

Just as an example here is a shot of me with it on. When I was showing off my jetpack.

I highly recommend the Asok. My next choice if you just want a bit bigger would be to get a BKBT from Cruzer. His products are superb also.

Looks stellar...did you put any padding inside it or does it sit directly on your noodle?

There is padding around the outer edge but none directly on top of my head. I kinda made a halo so that it fits snug. I don't really feel the top touching my scalp.

Clearly the more important question here is:

Where did you get that SHIRT???

Sorry to jack your thread, Gino. ;)

I got the shirt at Disney World in the gift shop outside of Star Tours. I would think they have it all the time but I was there on Star Wars weekends last year so all of the Star Wars stuff was front and center.
