The leather color is very hard to find. Loanstar and Bobamker are the only current makers that I know of. Mine was made by Ladysewforus but she hasn't been around for a while.
The difficulty of finding the leather is one of the biggest reasons why there are so few makers. But if you want a good looking screen accurate Jango the vest is a critical part and it is worth the cost and wait time. I would suggest patience and diligence in sourcing the vest.

I would say they are very comparable.
If you are still trying to source it out someplace else be careful of how they make it. I have seen a lot of people get hosed by someone who doesn't know the design of the Jango vest. The openings are very specific. It must be on the side and at the neck. If they make a vest with a zipper up the middle of the back then you just wasted a ton of money. The closures are done with velcro only. Also knowing the proper size of the shoulder armor is critical. How the armor sits in the piping is very noticeable if it is done wrong.
