To fans with Completed Jango Fett Suits. Questions and other stuff

Ok, So I have had my Jango Fett suit for a long while maybe 7 years or so, 2 days ago, Halloween night was pretty much the first time I really had a complete jango fett suit (except for my Rangefinder). But everything else was there.

Man I wore that suit for like 9 hours, yes it was a little to long and my muscles are still sore from it lol.

I know the suit is not agile really in any way. Its hard to get into a car with it and out. I can't bend over cause if I do lol I just go straight down haha. I can sit in it but its a little hard. And as always one thing breaks here and one thing breaks there thats fine, I dont mind that. Nothing a little duct tape on the spot couldn't fix. until it really gets fixed.

Though my wife was getting annoyed at helping me with my costume lol. I didn't wear the jetpack that night because the Jetpack just seems to be more of a nuisance sometimes instead of a part of the costume.

I would like to hear your thoughts on the nuances of the costume (or however you spell that)

Sometimes i have thought it be easier just to go as a Jedi or something lol. Something I can move in and all that stuff.

Question do any of yall have any other suit and a Jango Fett suit? Im just wondering maybe would a stormtrooper outfit be a little easier to move in then a Jango Fett suit?

I have thought about selling my Jango Fett suit and getting a stormtrooper suit. I'm sure we all have thought about this sometime, but yet I still have my Jango Fett suit. I can also not put this suit on entirely myself. There is always something i need help with to get it on.

I thought about selling it and getting just a simple stormtrooper suit with FX armor and buying a helmet and shoes and gun seperately. And with the rest of the money get my wife a nice costume. Uhh. I just want to hear yalls thoughts. Would like some info on your own thoughts and stuff.

I can move easier in my Jango than most of the stormies can... I believe Biker scouts can move easily, as well as Boba... I also have a Jedi but do not wear it because I can have more "attitude" as Jango and let's face it, there aren't very many Jangos compared to troopers or even Bobas... Simply put the kids at our troops LOVE Jango and I can't help but feel good knowing that I put a smile on their face :)

For troops, I would just tough it out, I mean 9 hours is a LONG time in any costume and this can be very disenchanting, most troops are a couple of hours at most.

P.S. As for your wife, my wife is the same way, and then she gets mad at me when I tell her "no, the hoses go INTO the second sleeve!... feel the clip, they go right there!" ;) lol

P.P.S. I would love to see pictures of your suit, as compared to your original one you had posted here A LONG TIME AGO :)

Firstly, yeah 9 hours is a long, long time in costume. I don't know if I could make it that long with the jetpack on the whole time. As far as flexibility goes, it is actually more flexible than my Clone or my Stormie was. If you want an armored costume you pretty much have to accept the fact that you will have to sacrifice comfort and flexibility. Even Jedi costumes are not that comfortable. Probably the most comfortable armored costume is a biker scout. I would recommend that if you want a baddie with flexibility. Another option is Royal Guard, although the helmet is hot and confining.

BTW, can you imagine what it is like to have my wife dress me in Jango and I have to dress her in Zam simultaneously? That can be a nightmare! But we manage.

I have a TIE, Bikerscout, Stormtrooper, AT-AT commander, and Jango. Jango is the most complex, and the only one I need help with. There are time, it seems a bit much, but being a named character is so much more fun than a nameless TK.

Also this doesn't bother me to much it's like huh ok. Buy it's people not knowing who I am. I've been called a power ranger, robocop, stormtrooper, clonetrooper and of course bobs fett. Sometimes I'm just like close enough. Sometimes I say actually I'm jango fett. There like who? Like bounty hunter from episode 2, boba's dad. How do you guys respond to it? What have you been called? This Halloween I had some kid throw skittles at me, I just walked away. I do want to post my Halloween photos when I can. Some kid dressed up as a jango fett. We took a pic together. Lots dressed up as commander Rex. Couple darth vaders, and some Jedi. It made it so worth it for me, but not sure about my wife.

Who seemed like she was fixing me every 5 min, until she got mad with the duct tape. Then I was good lol. Parents loved it, kids loved it. Was fun. Unfortunately I have to repair my jetpack, and holster. Then finally get a proper jumpsuit and not a dickies suit. Bu it worked.

Since I still have minor fixes before I'm accepted to the 501st. Do you guys ever just go out in your costume? I would but I don't think it is as easy since I am out in the country. Not sure what else to say. Can't wait for some responses.

I had the FX trooper costume and movement was restricted to walking around with no sitting. Currently I have a Darth Vader (ANH Verion) which, I can honestly say, I wouldn't wear for more than 2 hours because the weight of the helmet (fiber glass)- gives you limited visibilty and Shoulder armor (fiberglass) that limits your arm movement, but I can sit down.
Now I'm working on a Jango Fett Costume, which I find to be one of the cooler looking characters in the Star Wars Universe. Like everyone else, I also need my wifes help with the Vader costume and I believe I'll need her help with Jango. Hopefully, she is still willing to help me.

I have been called everything under the sun... I am almost ALWAYS called Boba at least once, and usually it is the parents and the kids correct them by saying, "No, that's Jango!"

You can respond however you feel fit, just think WWJD (What Would Jango Do) and get some attitude with your response ;)

Person: "Hey there Mr. PowerRanger!"
Me: "A PowerRanger wouldn't kill you for a bounty, but I would!... Next time you'll remember my name." (or something along those lines)

I am almost always "in character" unless there is a kid who looks scared or something like that, then I'll respond with something a kinder, gentler Jango might do/say.

As for the kids throwing skittles, if you walk towards them I can guarantee they would probably turn and run, and if they don't, ask them (or even better their parents) for the republic credits it will take to repair your suit... this should stop them I would guess.

I started out as a TK.......and have a small resemblence to Jango also. Bluewolf gave me advice today to start becoming more accurate with my Jango, which was my long term goal!
Anyway as a TK....movement and vision is extreamly limited....and the armor bites were a constant. I still have my TK converted to TD, and having no drop boxes does help with sitting. However TD gets brought out 1-2 times a year just to stay official with 501st, the rest of the time, I'm in my Mando.
I do understand the dressing help, as I have the missle pack, and it takes another person to get dressed......but Jango (even my barely close version thus far) is much more popular as has been said, compared to a grunt Stormtrooper. If your set on becoming a soldier of the Empire....and the white armor has your interest, I'd recommend going dirty (TD) as you can sit, unless you build the backpack and then your back in the same boat getting dressed and standing all the time......but going dirty also ends polishing the armor!!!

It's really nice to hear all these comments from other people who have other suits and all that. It really gives some great insight. I think I might just stay with my jango fett suit. As long as my wife allows it haha. Maybe next Halloween I might just buy a $50 joker suit and a $50 Harley costume and my wife and I can go as a couple haha. After wearing the jango fett suit it's a wonder how jango fett could act in it!

I have no Jango, but I do Boba, and as far as flexibility goes, I have plenty. If I find a sturdy table or stool I can even sit down and be comfortable. I can do over half my suit by myself, I get help when I get to my vest, then back plate, then jetpack, then collar. Other than that it's all self done, so 4 pieces out of many isn't bad. Your vision in your jango will for sure be better than a stormtrooper. A stormtrooper wil be a bit cooler from the ability to use larger helmet fans, and wearing thinner underarmor for their bodysuit, as opposed to the fett's coveralls and layers of armor both hard and soft. But for me what makes it worth it is the reaction from the crowd. Everyone loves a Fett.
